Sport and activites are available without boundaries. You can watch the biathlon competitions that take place every year in January with international and local athletes, as well as the Nordic championships in ski jumping. You can be active by cross-country skiing on 60 km of top prepared cross-country skiing tracks, skiing on multiple slopes sure of snow, skating, snowshoe hiking, snowboarding, snow-tubing, tobogganing, ice-skating, curling, rock or wall climbing, cycling, inlineskaing, hang-gliding, paragliding and a whole lot more. Make a hot-air balloon ride in the holiday region of hiemgauer, go sailing or windsurfing on the Chiemsee. If you are looking for a ball sport, you will find tennis, golf, miniature golf, table tennis and outdoor pool. Enjoy the freedom of horseback riding at the Ponyhof Brendlberg. Wellness in the outdoor swimming pool Vita Alpina, or at the natural lakes are close-by.

One of the nicest amusement parks: the Familien-Maerchenpark (family-fairy-tale-park), horseback riding at Brendlberg, tennis, miniature golf, huge slide in the artificial wave swimming pool, outdoor pool with wall climbing, snow-tubing at the Wsternberg, ski lessons for kids, toboggan run in winter and summer, mountainbiking, roller-skating, ice-skating and a whole lot more.
Ski:
Comfortable slopes with floodlight for skiers and snowboarders. Beginners and expers can be found at the Unternberg and Westernberg, where there are still low-priced lift-passes available! The ski area Steinplatte lies on 1200 m – 1900 m between Ruhpolding and Rein im Winkl. Let the hearts of winter fans race: 15 dreamlike, top prepared slopes of a length of 35 km on the whole, most modern chair lift and a cable car, a diversified snowboard-park for the daily adrenaline, first class snow conditions – and first of all: sun, since the ski region lies in the border triangle of Tirol, Salzburg and Germany, on a tableland with particular favourable sun-beam-angle. To make it short: hardly any ice and a lot of snow !
Golf:
Golf court Ruhpolding (9 whole), unique and with natural biotopes, water obstacles and a lot of green, offers for beginners as well as for advanced ideal conditions for a nice round of oglf. The annex will be extended to 28 wholes in 2006!
