Charming 4 bedroom country house set in stunning scenery with spectacular 360 degree mountain views. Perfect for getting away from it all, this villa is detached, completely enclosed enchanting garden with an 8 x 4 pool and an outside shaded area for dining. Perfect for either summer or winter living in the sun it has all the charm and features of a typical Spanish 'cortijo', renovated to 5 star standard, with beamed ceilings throughout. A log burner in the lounge and insulated ceilings keeps this villa warm as toast in the winter and cool in the summer. The property has 3/4 double bedrooms, the 3rd bedroom has an en suite bathroom, and is adjoined to the 4Th double bedroom, making these two rooms ideal for a couple with two children. There are two luxury bathrooms, (one en-suite), fitted kitchen with dresser. Tastefully decorated throughout and very homely. The lounge and master bedroom look out over the garden and pool. There is a further room with a drum kit.

This typically Spanish country house is situated within the outstanding natural beauty of the national park with lots of walks through pine forests and stunning viewpoints. The hillsides are covered with olive and Almond trees, not to mention natural herbs which grow in this area. Not far from the villa, are BBQ areas set in the surrounding mountains. The beaches of Mojacar and Agillas are not overcrowded and are well worth, a visit only 40 mins drive. There are also water parks and plenty of bars and restaurants. The villa has an enchanting garden with mature trees and shrubs and an 8x4 swimming pool. The sophisticated medieval town of Lorca is 30 mins and here you can explore the medieval castle which also hosts concerts and events during the summer months. The towns of Velez Rubio and Velez Blanco 15 mins drive, are in close proximity and both enjoy outstanding viewpoints and all the amenities you will need, including public Olympic swimming pools.

Notes: Location information: This is an idyllic setting among the Almond and Olive groves, with lovely walks through the pine covered forests down to the gorgeous lush green rambla where you can walk for hours without meeting another soul. Yet it is only half an hour's drive to bustling city of Lorca with its nightclubs bars and restaurants There is a spectacular drive through mountain scenery near the villa. The city of Lorca is renowned for its summer festivals, including rock events at the castle,(last year Joe Cocker) and regular theatre and classical music entertainment. Climate:-: Climate good year round. Hottest months July and August temperatures 30 degrees or more, coldest months January February March, however much sunshine during the day and still possible, if you are daring, to wear shorts. Evenings during these three months are colder. There is little rain and the area is dry because of this, mostly almonds and olive trees grow here. There are no neon lights in the area, therefore, the night sky are spectacular, you can even see the milky way and the full moon rises orange in front of the villa in the summer months, quite a view.

Festivals:-: Spain is renowned for its festivals. These take place in virtually every town in the country throughout the year. The main ones are the summer festivals. The festivals that take place in Lorca during July and August can be forwarded to you if you require them in advance of your holiday but are also available for you to view if you go to www.lorcacastle.es. However, there is no need to book in advance as tickets are always available on the night of the event. A brochure will be left in your welcome booklet. The festivals in Velez Rubio and Velez Blanco are a good evening out and are perfect for children and adults alike, with fairground rides, and concert events.

More places of interest: The city of Granada, not far from Sierra Nevada has many attractions including the Alambra Palace, well worth a visit. A three hour drive to Malaga, and you will also find many attractions including the Piccaso art museum. Please note that driving on the motorways (autovias) throughout Spain, and particularly through Andalucia is very relaxed with little traffic, unlike motorways in the UK, which are extremely busy. Therefore, journeys are far more pleasant to make.

AMAZING......OUR DREAM HOLIDAY HOME!

We have stayed in lots and lots of properties but Casa Paraiso was by far the best and will remain our all time favourite! Both ourselves and our 2 small children enjoyed a truly magical stay in this top class property. Highly recommended for anyone seeking absolute peace and idyllic views....bliss!
Jacqui and Brian were the perfect hosts and their beautiful holiday home is sublime!! Excellent value for an excellent break.

Fantastic holiday in excellent property and garden

The house, garden and pool did not disappoint - it was all and more than expected with beautiful and tastefully done Spanish features. The setting was fantastic setting - not every day do you have a Moorish castle outside your garden. We enjoyed the tranquility and stars at night. The local towns were quietly Spanish, very friendly and enjoyable. All surrounding cities were in easy distance, with amazing roads which were often quiet. Great shopping facilities close by in Lorca. Murcia and Granada excellent and full of fun and history. Beautiful beach areas close by (Aguillas/Mojacar/Mazzaron). The accommodation was excellent, clean, beautifully and comfortably designed to modern standards but still retaining a lovely Spanish charm (especially the kitchen door). The outside sitting area around the lovely pool and dining/BBQ area were well used. At the beginning and during the holiday, Brian and Jacqui were very thoughtful with a welcome pack and ensuring all was ok during our stay (3 weeks). We enjoyed every minute of our time in such a lovely house and stunning area. Without reserve, we would recommend this house and its owners.

High standard accomodation at an affordable price

We had a fantastic holiday at Casa Paraiso, it had everything we wanted in a holiday home. Everything in the house was of a very high standard and the location was really private and tranquil. We all loved the pool and outdoor sitting area. The neighbouring towns and villages were very traditional and charming, real Spain. Eating and drinking out was very reasonable and much cheaper than the Costa del Sol. I loved the new shopping complex at Lorca as a distraction from sunbathing. The children enjoyed the local beaches because they could snorkle and see lots of interesting fish within a few feet of the shore.
We too have stayed in lots of holiday villas and would have no hesitation in recommending Casa Paraiso and giving it a 5 out of 5.

Relaxing family holiday

We don't get that much rest with two lively little ones but this holiday was great. A great pool to splash around in, amusements in the house and great views. And the beach just a short drive away. We went home really refreshed. Thankyou.
