Akamas Lodge is located in the hills behind the small fishing port of Latchi and has magnificent panoramic views down to Chrysolous Bay and the Eastern Mediterranean beyond.Set in an elevated position, the property borders the Akamas Nature Reserve. The house, recently completed, is a luxurious custom-designed, single level villa with large open plan kitchen and living space. There is a spacious paved veranda to the front of the house and shaded dining area to the west leading down to a large infinity pool (14m x 7m) with poolside shower. The Sunset Terrace on the roof of the house provides a further 'chill out' area from where spectacular views and sunsets can be enjoyed.There is a long narrow garden area on the level below with a fountain and over 25 olive and carob trees. The house is spacious, open plan living at its best.

Neo Chorio is a picturesque traditional stone built village with narrow roadways and has a church, a couple of tavernas and a mini market. The house is on the outskirts of the village which is the last village before the protected Akamas nature reserve and makes a perfect base for exploring by car, foot or boat. Latchi is about 10 minutes drive downhill and has a busy marina and a long stretch of pebble beach. The sandy beach shared by the luxury Anassa Hotel is 5 minutes by car and is over a mile long with parasol and sunbed hire. Beaches are uncrowded and most have lifeguard cover. Polis is the nearest town and is about 20 minutes drive away with excellent restaurants cafes and bars.The house has extensive verandas and terraces where the spectacular views of the sea, mountains and sunsets can be enjoyed

Activities in the Akamas area: The coastal municipality of Polis enjoys a Mediterranean climate with hot summers and mild dry winters. Stunning natural beauty,rich historical heritage and a glorious climate combine to make Cyprus an 'island of contrast'. Actvities are available throughout the year Walking and Hiking : The Akamas Penninsula has many nature trails which are self guided and vary in distance and gradient. The Adonis Trail (7.5 k) walk from Baths of Aphrodite to the Tower of Rigena, the Aphrodite and Smigies trails are all easily accessed from Neo Chorio. Further afield, there are Drive and Hike tours to Kykkos Monastry, the Avakas Gorge and the wine making villages of Akamas heights. The area is a stopover place for the main bird migration route from Europe to Africa, particularly in spring and autumn. In the summer months, the turtles arrive at Lara to lay their eggs on the sandy beach.

Sport: The sea temperature varies between 16 - 17 oC and the diving season is one of the longest in the Mediterranean. The turquoise waters of the Chrysochous Bay are pristine clear and opportunities abound to learn and participate in all types of water sports.

Golf: The Paphos area contains world class golf courses, Tsada, Secret Valley and Aphrodite Hills. Tsada is the nearest approximately 40 minutes drive with 19 championship holes playing to par 72 over 6060 metres.
