Activities in the Akamas area:

Walking and Hiking : The Akamas Penninsula has many nature trails which are self guided and vary in distance and gradient. The Adonis Trail (7.5 k) walk from Baths of Aphrodite to the Tower of Rigena, the Aphrodite and Smigies trails are all easily accessed from Neo Chorio.
Further afield, there are Drive and Hike tours to Kykkos Monastry, the Avakas Gorge and the wine making villages of Akamas heights.
The area is a stopover place for the main bird migration route from Europe to Africa, particularly in spring and autumn. In the summer months, the turtles arrive at Lara to lay their eggs on the sandy beach.
Sport:
The sea temperature varies between 16 - 17 oC and the diving season is one of the longest in the Mediterranean. The turquoise waters of the Chrysochous Bay are pristine clear and opportunities abound to learn and participate in all types of water sports.
Golf:
The Paphos area contains world class golf courses, Tsada, Secret Valley and Aphrodite Hills. Tsada is the nearest approximately 40 minutes drive with 19 championship holes playing to par 72 over 6060 metres.
