Situated just five minutes off the R600 Kinsale-Clonakilty coast road, it is a perfect base from which to tour West Cork and Kerry or just relax and unwind and enjoy the many pleasures on offer in this tranquil scenic location. Four golf courses are within easy reach including the spectacular old head of Kinsale. The bay is a popular windsurfing venue while the white sandy coves at Wood Point and Dunworley are ideal for picnicking, and swimming. Horse riding is available two minutes away. The area is a walker’s paradise, with routes following the wild, magnificent scenery of The Seven Heads. Detailed route guidebooks with maps are in the house for your use. Seals are common, while dolphins and even whales are regular visitors. In autumn, winter and spring, Courtmac sherry Bay holds up to 22.000 migrant birds.
