Allangrange Mains. Allangrange Mains Farmhouse is 6 miles from Inverness in the heart of the beautiful rolling Black Isle countryside, an hours’ drive from the west coast and 25 minutes from Loch Ness surrounded by tweed houses and castles. Accommodation: Upstairs - Four bedrooms, 2 doubles, 1 twin, a single with bunk beds and a family bathroom. Downstairs – Kitchen with oil fired Aga and electric oven, dining room, living room with log fire, utility room and toilet. Location: At the end of a quiet lane, surrounded by fields. We have our own flock of Hebridean sheep, a dairy cow, hens and a large organic vegetable garden. Some of the produce can be bought during your stay.

Nearest Train: Inverness at 11 Kilometres
Nearest Beach: beach at 13.0 Kilometres
Car: necessary
Allangrange Mains is located at the end of a private lane and surrounded by fields. The property is ideally located for access to the rest of the Highlands with Inverness being only a 15 minute drive away. Glen Ord distillery is close by with Glen Morangie to the north near Tain and Dornoch with its Royal Golf Course. A short distance to the west is the stunning Glen Affric and a bit further, about an hour’s drive, is the harbour village of Ullapool with ferry access to the Western Isles. A must visit for most is the famous Loch Ness with its dramatic panoramas, castles and visitor’s centres. The Cairngorm Mountains are half an hour south. Closer to home are the villages of Fortrose, Rosemarkie and Cromarty with beautiful beaches, walks, welcoming hostelries and the chance to see a dolphin! Best of all (in our opinion anyway) is our organic brewery making a range of delicious ales, lagers and stouts. There are free tours and tastings with a complementary pack of beer with each booking.
