Pequina Casa Quadrada - Fully air-conditioned and heated 2 bedroom single storey villa - Alto Fica. 30 mins drive from Faro Airport, set in the hills close to Benafim and Alte, this amazing property must be seen to be believed. It is finished to the very highest standard. Consists of large living room with TV, DVD, Satellite with Sky News, Kids Channels, etc. Bespoke Fitted Kitchen with, electric oven, gas hob, fridge, freezer, washing machine, dishwasher, microwave, toaster, kettle, coffee maker, juicer, stereo, delph, cutlery and everything you could possibly require. Bedroom 1 - Double King size bed with en suite bathroom. Bedroom 2 - Double and single bed. Cot supplied at no charge if required. Another Bathroom with shower, bidet, etc. Huge private roof terrace. Private swimming pool and garden. Barbecue area. There are many golf courses and beaches within 30 mins drive. Walking and cycling paths on your doorstep. Safe also fitted for personal valuables. Pequina Casa Quadrada (The Little Square House) is located amongst rolling hills and countryside away from the hustle and bustle of the traditional tourist resorts. You are guaranteed a quiet and relaxed atmosphere from the moment you arrive. The nearest village is Benafim (3 mins drive) and a little further on you will find the beautiful picturesque village of Alte with it's charming cobbled streets and whitewashed houses. Salir, Messines, Boliqueme and Silves are other towns within the locality, that are certainly worth a visit. All with plenty of restaurants and local bars. The town of Loule is just a 15 min drive away. Make sure you visit the gypsy market here on Saturday mornings. The resorts of Villamoura, Quarteria and Albufeira along with their many beaches and golf courses are all within 30 mins drive from the house. In the surrounding hills you will find many varieties of different fruits and nuts amongst the orange, peach and lemon groves. This truly is a magical location!

Everything we'd hoped for..... and much, much more

We were looking forward to something quite special...... and we were not disappointed.

From the moment we first contacted the owner to the day we left to come home, we were extremely impressed with the service we received. Pauline and Fintan are a lovely couple and were most helpful and welcoming. We spent a very nice evening with them at the Hamburgo restaurant (try the squid, superb).

The property was of the highest standard, with all the touches of a comfortable home. The "rain forest" shower was fantastic and the "roman" bath was wonderfully decadent! The pool and BBQ area were perfect and to have our own fig tree was a joy. Try them grilled on the BBQ with proscuitto and soft cheese on top. Wash them down with a delicious glass (or two) of Portuguese wine whilst watching the sun go down from the patio or the roof terrace..... absolute heaven.

We would have no hesitation in recommending this property to anyone who wishes to have a wonderfully relaxing holiday, away from the usual tourist areas. The rural setting is so much nicer but if you want beaches, they're only a short drive away. The local restaurants are great and there are plenty of golf courses to choose from.

Overall, one of the best holidays we've had and we look forward to coming back to Pequina Casa Quadradra.

lay back adn relax

Pequina casa quadrata was a very nice place to spend a relaxing holiday (loved taking a rainshower after a hot day!!). Good facilities, clean, supermarket and good restaurant (Hamburgero) nearby. Central location for daytrips to Sagres, Tavira, Monchique and quiet beaches.
The owner provides good customer service.
Would recommend it to family, friends and colleges!

An Oasis!

The owner of this property is a very good friend, and I have seen the amount of time, work and comittment he has given to this project. The result is a stunning villa, in a beautiful location. The photos on this site only give a taster of the beauty of this property and it's location, which is set on the edge of a beautiful little village in magnificent hilly countryside, surrounded by olive, orange and lemon groves. A tranquil oasis, yet within easy reach of the coast and Faro airport in one direction, and the mountains in the other. For the taste of the 'real Portugal', head a few minutes up the road to Benafim and stop at the restaurant/bar 'Hamburgo', where a warm welcome and fantastic 'artisan' food and drink await.
I spent a week at this villa recently, and I can honestly say that it was one of the most memorable holiday experiences I have had. As this is Dick's 'home' when he is 'resting' the whole villa, inside and out, is furnished and equipped to a very high standard. I can honestly say that there is absolutely nothing that is not catered for - all you need to do is take yourself and your clothes. If you are looking for executive, high class accomodation, in a beautiful, tranquil location, then Pequina Casa Quadrada is just what you need!!
