About Ealing:
Ealing, known as 'the Queen of the Suburbs' is widely known because of Ealing Studios. These became famous for a string of comedy films in the 1940s and 50s including The Lavender Hill Mob. By 1912 the studios were the largest in England and they continue to be used today for film production. Some well-known films shot around Ealing include: The Importance of Being Earnest, Bend it Like Beckham, Calendar Girls, About a Boy, and Love Actually.
Northfields has an excellent range of shops and amenities. Within 5 minutes walk of the apartment there is a wide range of small independent shops including grocers, butchers, bakers, supermarkets, newsagents, hair dressers, cafes, restaurants and pubs. There are also several specialist shops where, for example, you can have shirts made-to-measure, have indian head massage, learn Thai cookery or make your own greeting cards. It is 45 minutes from St Pancras International Train Terminal.
It is 28 minutes from Piccadilly Circus.
The apartment is also on the E2 and E3 bus routes which run very frequently.
By car: The apartment is 2.2km from Junction 2 of the M4 and 4.3km from the A40. The M40, M25, M1 and M3 motorways are easily accessible from Ealing.
The apartment has secure parking for 2 cars and is outside the London Congestion Zone.
Alternatively the apartment can be reached by taxi from all London airports and mainline railway stations. All airports serving London are connected to Central London by rapid and frequent train services.
