Villa Ivi is a charming retreat from the hustle and bustle of Fira and Oia. The romantic Villa Ivi once provided the villagers with a safe haven from marauding pirates who invaded the island. Today the villa, with its cool vaulted interior, provides an enchanting holiday home. Near to the picturesque village square with its Venetian architecture, the Villa Ivi is approached through painted blue doors which lead into a pretty and private cobbled courtyard. Olive trees in large terracotta pots add a lovely atmosphere as you enter and the outdoor heated Jacuzzi i. Quaint blue doors lead from the courtyard into the open-plan living area which houses the lounge, dining room and well equipped kitchen. The spacious master bedroom, with high domed ceiling has a view of the courtyard and a walk-in closet. A large bathroom, with modern amenities serves this bedroom. The second bedroom has its own entrance from the courtyard. It is of a comfortable size and has its own bathroom.

Megalochori is a lovely village with white painted houses, beautiful churches, narrow cobble streets and a quaint village atmosphere surrounded by vineyards. It provides a perfect base from where to explore the island of Santorini. To get to the best beaches of the island (Perivolos, Vlyhada, Red Beach) or to the capital (Fira) is just a 10 minutes’ drive. The village itself has 3 excellent restaurants, a local bakery & a mini-market. Megalochori is a true reflection of the local Santorini experience!
