Fully modernised Icelandic cottage. Accommodation on two floors: upper- floor: double bedroom, bathroom, landing/study-space. Ground-floor: open plan lounge with kitchen, laundry room. Fully self contained ( building also contains a separate small studio.) The accommodation is fully equipped with television, cooker, washing-up machine, washing machine and dryer. tableware, bedlinen and towels. Internet access, small garden and resident parking. Thrastargata, (Street of Thrushes) is a pedestrian enclave of similar houses, next to the University. Close by are the National Museum, the National Library, a cinema and concert hall. There is a handy a bakery around the corner, hot soup, coffee etc. two supermarkets, a swimming pool and an international hotel with bars restaurants and banks are within easy walking distance. Central Reykjavík is an enjoyable walk of ten minutes´away. Five minutes in the other direction is a path along the sea-shore. Frequent buses on the doorstep.

Lovely cottage

I stayed in this cottage at the beginning of May and I loved it. It was very clean and comfortable with everything that you could possibly need. There were no noisy neighbours and it is conveniently located only 15 minute walk away from the city centre and there is the national museum of Iceland which is even closer. There is a lovely local bakery that does fantastic bread and soups and also a thermal swimming pool just a stone's throw away.

We experienced no problems with this accommodation and would definitely stay there again if we go back to Reykjavik.

Definitely excellent value for money!

Das gemütliche und gepflegte Stadthaus hat uns sehr gefallen. Es befindet sich in einer ruhigen Wohnlage, 5 Minuten vom Meer und 15 Minuten vom Stadtzentrum von Reykjavik entfernt. Das Haus ist sehr geräumig und bietet alles, was man für einen angenehmen Aufenthalt benötigt. Der Kontakt zur Vermieterin war sehr unkompliziert und freundlich.

Sehr empfehlenswert.
