Just a 3 miles inland from the coast the picturesque old Roman town of Pollensa offers a traditional Mallorcan experience. Wander around its narrow cobbled streets. discover crafts and clothes shops and join in the relaxed cafe life/Spanish style. You can purchase fruit,vegetables, cheese and olives direct from the farmers at the Sunday market, which is located on the plaza Major and the maze of little streets leading up to the Calvary steps. At the top of the steps you will find the only Calvary church in Mallorca and spectacular views across the town to the convent at Puig de Maria.
