The former small fishing village of Carvoeiro is now a growing holiday resort, mostly based around self-catering accommodation. A friendly, attractive little town, it has kept most of the development on the outskirts, so as not to ruin the historic centre, which retains much of its original charm. Located about halfway between the larger towns of Albufeira and Lagos, Carvoeiro is a popular destination with a fine sandy beach, backed by rugged, ochre coloured cliffs. The surrounding coastline is very rocky and is lined with grottoes, stone arches and fascinating rock formations, which have been eroded by the action of the sea. Boat trips are the order of the day in Carvoeiro, and from here you can take a trip to Algar Seco, about 1 kilometre away, a renowned beauty spot, especially popular with scuba divers and snorkellers. Carvoeiro is ideal for family holidays and has a good choice of shops, bars and restaurants, there are also a choice of golf courses.

  • Payment may be made in Euros, by cheque or by bank transfer. A deposit of 25% is needed to secure the dates (this is not refundable unless we can resell the period), and the balance is due 8 weeks before the start date. A security deposit of 200 euros is payable with the final installment, and this will be returned within 10 days of the end of your stay.
    For 'Winter' bookings, electricity is a chargeable extra, but we can give advice on anticipated costs depending on your pattern of heating needs.

Overall the holiday was excellent. We enjoyed our stay at the apartment. The views were fabulous, especially in the evening as there was an excellent view of the sunset. The beach was right at the doorstep and the village was 5 minutes away. There were great walks we went on at the cliffs and we spent a day at the golf course. There were numerous restraunts to choose from. The property was well looked after and it was clean. I would definately reccomend this apartment.

I just stayed in this apartment over Easter I had a six year old and a 15 year old. The location was perfect there was a great Italian around the corner and a little shop with all the basics. The Patio was spacious and the view was unforgettable we enjoyed sitting listening to the waves and watching the sunset. The apartment was freshly painted with new bathrooms I will stay again as for once my teenager was happy she made friends. The village is a brisk walk but safe. It was truley relaxing and the view unforgetable. I will be booking my book club in October - thanks.
