Protaras / Pernera:
Protaras is a small tourist village and offers an ideal holiday for families, couples and friends.
Its horse-shoe shape with over 250 establishments ranging from restaurants , taverna's, designer clothes shops, jewellery and souvenir shops. This area is called 'The Strip'.
The bars & restaurants cater for all tastes and budgets. When dining out, you are spoilt for choice with many good quality venues to choose from: Cypriot, English, Chinese, American, Italian and Fish Bars etc. There is even a McDonalds!
Many bars offer entertainment including tribute bands, karaoke or live shows and music. It is not uncommon to be able to see Robbie Williams, Tom Jones and even Elvis all on the same night!
Children are welcome in bars, with some having safe play area's for the little one's.
Pernera's main 'Strip' has the same package but on a smaller scale including Internet Cafe's and an Ice Cream Parlour.

Markets: The local market in Ayia Thekla is held on a Wednesday or at Moonshine Rance on Saturdays.
There is also a large market in Oriklini which can be reached by the local bus or taxi.
Aquarium - is a fantastic day out and very popular with all ages.
The new Coastline Walkway is completed and runs along the coast from Pernera to Protaras passing beach bars and providing fabulous scenery.

Sailing is offered by the Famagusta District Sailing Club at newby Ayia Triada next to Kapparis. Lasers and Catamaran's are on offer. You can also crew.
Dhekella Sailing Club offers RYA sailing.
Horse riding is available at Moonshine Ranch and there is also tuition and hacking ot at Dhekelia Saddle Club.
The Camel Park at Mazotos on the other side of Larnaca is a very popular day out for the kids.
Paralimni Square for its beautiful Churches and shops.
Larnaca is a traditional Cypriot town about 45 mins drive, It has a picturesque marina and excellent seafood.
The Capital Nicosia is about 70 minutes drive away. It has many historic sites of interest, yet the atmosphere is very cosmopolitan with its stylish cafes and chic boutiques.
The Troodos Mountains are 90 mins away on the Western side of the island where you will find traditional villages, breathtaking scenery, great walking trails, wineries and skiing in winter.
