Glorious Galleons Way & Glorious Owner

My family (6 adults) have stayed at Galleons Way many many times, what can I say, bungalow is fantastic, every facility you could want, comfortable, welcoming, loads of parking, stunning views over the bay, we have seen dolphins, and the games room in the basement was a great hit when my nephews came to stay! Pat has become a family friend, and helped us so much when my father was taken seriously ill and ended up staying in Treliske Hospital, allowing us to extend our stay, and truly supporting us, even visiting Dad several times in hospital. Galleons is on top of a steep hill, hence the staggering views, the walk down to Mevagissey is lovely looking over the village and the bay, the walk back up more challenging but great exercise! A great mix of eating places, The Ship for good pub food great atmosphere, Harbour Tavern on the harbour naturally, more good pub food , Salamander & Christophes for a treat. Walk down the hill the other way to the Rising Sun on the waters edge! Quaint little shops to browse around, a really relaxing place. Loads of places to visit, great beaches, Port Isaac/Boscastle/Padstow/Falmouth/The Lizard - I could go on forever. Meva is a place that will always be dear to us, Galleons a great place to stay and Pat a marvellous host, nothing is too much trouble, any problems, (& there have been very few) are attended to swiftly. If you've not been to Galleons Way, then go there, you don't know what you are missing, however for smaller groups, if Galleons is too big, then stay at Treloen Apartments on the edge of the cliff, they also belong to Pat, and they are in the most fantastic position, with the sound of the sea constantly soothing you! How I wish I was in Meva right now!!! Thanks Pat for giving us so many wonderful memories! You are a gem! Julie
