Once part of a Cardinal’s residence this exquisitely decorated place preserves the colours and forms of its Medieval and Renaissance past. Lovingly restored by artist owner with extraordinary authenticity. The three rooms are of generous proportions and contain original oak beam ceilings, floors in terracotta, and simple but exotic furnishings. Expertly modernised in a way that harmonizes with its historic detail it will provide a comfortable and beautiful experience in the the heart of one of the gems of Umbria's hill towns. Half way between Rome or Florence airports, 2 hours to airport at Ancona or 1 hour to Perugia's Sant Egidio airport. Within half an hour from the towns of Spoleto, Foligno, Spello, Todi, or Bevagna. Within an hour from Perugia, Assisi, Deruta, Lake Trasimeno, Gubbio, Norcia or Orvieto

We are close to major Umbrian towns of historic and artistic interest. Montefalco museum has a beautiful fresco cycle by Benozzo Gozzoli. Nearby museums contain a range of late medieval and early renaissance frescoes including works by Perugino, Filippo Lippi in Spoleto, Signorelli in Orvieto and Pinturicchio in Spello. Within half an hour from the towns of Spoleto, Foligno, Spello, Todi, or Bevagna. Within an hour from Perugia, Assisi, Todi, Lake Trasimeno, Gubbio, Norcia. Exquisite walks through nearby forests or numerous surrounding country lanes. The closest large shopping town is Foligno but also nearby to Spoleto Assisi and Perugia for good shopping experiences, There are four excellent restaurants in the town including L'Alchimista one of Umbria's best. Montefalco won the award for Italy's best red wine in 1998, Half way between Rome and Florence. 3 hours to Rome or Florence airports, or 1 hour to Perugia's Sant Egidio airport
