The vicinity of Split only few km away gives you the possibility to visit this magnificent Mediterranean city the centre of which makes the ancient palace built in the early 3rd century by a Roman emperor Diocletian. Lovers of art and history can spend days there sightseeing the old city walls and numerous museums, old churches and antique temples from the Roman period. Various cultural manifestations take place during the whole year, but still, summer is very special time because of street performances, music festivals and Split summer festival when theatre performances take place on the main palace square.
