Cupra Marittima has an archaeological park in its territory. It is possible to visit:
- the Ninfeo and the ancient Villa Romana
- the Roman Forum
- the parish of San Basso (IX century a.c.)
- the Sant’Andrea Castle (XIII century)
The Roman part is in the North part of the town and the Medieval part can be outlined in the old part of Cupra: Marano. Marano itself (where our house is located) includes buildings going back to the XIIIth century and a Museum with archaeological find.
The entire territory of Piceno is characterized by a lot of small medieval villages full of charm.
Within an hour driving it is possible to reach the National Park of Monti Sibillini.
Rosso piceno superiore (Offida) and Faleiro dei colli asolani are two among the very good wines that it is possible to taste visiting the wine shops of the territory. The olives’ production is well known as well. The ones from Ascoli are renowned to be the main part of the well known “olive all’ascolana”
