We welcome you to our semi - detached cottage with extensive views of the surrounding countryside. The entrance porch leads you into the South facing living room and open plan kitchen. The double bedroom, twin room, bathroom and airing cupboard are downstairs. The newly refurbished living room has TV and DVD with Freeview, and a wood burning stove with logs available when required. The kitchen is well equipped with fridge, freezer, ceramic hob, oven and microwave plus kettle, toaster etc. Everything is provided for 4 people, all the beds have duvets, pillows and sheets ready for your arrival. The bathroom has a bath, power shower and shaver point. A washing machine and iron are provided for your sole use. The double bedroom has French doors which lead onto the patio area with table and chairs where you can enjoy a meal outside. A garage and parking area is provided for you. There are small shops, Spar, Post Office, 2 pubs and take aways in the village 2miles away.

Situated approximately 6 miles north of Bude and 2 miles from Kilkhampton it is an ideal spot to explore North Cornwall and Devon. Duckpool is the nearest beach within walking distance, passing through the scenic Coombe Valley. Other popular beaches in the local area are Sandymouth and Bude beaches. Other places to visit in a close proximity are Bude canal, the coastal footpath taking in Parson Hawker`s hut and Morwenstow Church. Ideal for day trips to the Eden Project, Heligan gardens, Launceston Castle, Clovelly, Exmoor and Bodmin Moor. On the farm there are cows, chickens and Jimmy the dog, a favourite with many, and very friendly. Situated in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, there are many things to do and see during your stay.

  • The bedrooms are situated on the ground floor. The double bedroom has French doors opening out onto the front of the property, where there is a sheltered patio area. The double and twin bedrooms are complete with sheets, pillowcases and duvets. The furniture is good quality pine and there are ample wardrobes and storage for your clothes and belongings. There is an electric storage heater in the downstairs hallway and another planned for the double bedroom which are included in the rent. Child safety gates are available for use if required.

Lovely cottage, fantastic location

We stayed four nights here in June 2009. The cottage is beautiful, recently renovated (except the bathroom which is a bit tired looking but more than adequate). An added bonus are the lovely views across open fields from the window.

It's hidden away down country lanes but only a five minute drive from local shops, pubs and post offices in Kilkhampton.
It's also on a working farm - and our toddler was really thrilled to be surrounded by chickens, cows and the very friendly Jimmy the Dog. The owners were welcoming and happy to help with local knowledge and directions to the many beaches.

It's wonderfully peaceful and was a fantastic base for us to go explore from. Our only complaint was that our stay couldn't have been longer!!

Excellent value for money and a cottage we hope to visit again soon.
Owner's Response: We have not yet got to the bathroom, but will refurbish next winter. The main thing from the visitors point of view is that it is clean.

Beautiful Cottage in a Beautiful Area

Having stayed in this cottage for many years, we would highly recommend it. We have always found it to be well-equipped and clean and now that the bedrooms and living and kitchen areas have been refurbished, it is even better - really lovely! We have always been given a very warm welcome from all the family and especially by various dogs throughout the years - the latest being Jimmy!

The cottage is a few minutes drive from the beautiful North Cornwall coast where you can enjoy coastal walks or paddle or bodyboard in the sea (or you can surf if you're really keen!)

There is plenty to do and see in the surrounding area both for those with growing families and also for those "empty-nesters" like ourselves!

All in all, a beautiful cottage in a beautiful area!
