Experience the real Italy here in Cornalba. Tranquillita is a newly built 3 bedroomed apartment, furnished and equipped to the highest level. Situated just 40 minutes from Bergamo (airport), one hour from Lake Como and Lake Lecco and one hour from the popular ski resort of Fopollo. Travel in any direction from Cornalba and you'll stumble upon quaint towns with cobbled streets filled with restaurants, delicatessens and designer shops. This is non-commercial Italy, welcoming and beautiful. A visit to the 'citta alta' in Bergamo and the famous spa town of San Pellegrino are a great day out. Walk to the local bar where those with an interest in rock climbing will find a willing tutor. Take the 2 minute drive to the historic town of Serina, enjoy a swim or a stroll in the park - though there's great temptation to just stay and relax on one of two large balconies, enjoy a glass of local wine and take in the stunning location of this undiscovered paradise.

The beautiful Lake Como and Lake Lecco are a one hour drive away. Lake Iseo is just over an hours drive with Lake Garda a little further. The famous historic town of Bergamo is 50 minutes away with excellent train and airport links. Within walking distance in Cornalba there is a children play area, tennis court and football pitch, bar and restaurant. 2km in the car takes you to Serina with swimming pool, several restaurants, bars and shops. A 10km drive takes you to the spa town of San Pellegrino and ski area Selvino - where designer shops are plentiful.

Half term in Bergamo

My family were so looking forward to our trip to Bergamo. The pictures on the website represent well the internal features of the apartment but nothing can prepare you for the stunning views that we found when we stood on the balcony in the morning. Wow! A very quiet and peaceful village, at least at the time of year we were there.As we arrived on a Sunday night we were pleased to find some milk in the fridge but couldn't find any where en route to stop and buy bread ect so everyone went to bed rather hungry! The apartment had some high qulaity equipment which was great. The kids loved the TV but the DVD player failed to work. Nearby there were many stunning mountain villages to visit. We enjoyed the zoo about half an hour away, the old town in Bergamo, the cafe in Serino, San Peraguino's art deco buildings and the visit to the Milan Football Stadium. We did not enjoy Milan as much as we thought although the Cathedral was worth the trip.
I wanted to particularly thank Julie the owner who allowed us to adjust our days of stay last minute when we realised that we had made a mistake with our flights and dates of travel. Thank you very much!!
