Romantic Hansel and Gretel Cottage that has just been converted from an Old Bakery. It offers a room with feature kingsize 4 poster bed with dressing table and wardrobe. Comfortable sofa facing an lovely inglenook fireplace with wood burning stove. The ceiling is valued and has beams giving a lovely feel. There is a dining table and chairs to one side. The kitchenette includes a dishwasher, oven and hob, fridge, microwave. The wet room has a shower with w/c and basin. Nice seating area to the rear of the property with direct access to the 'Great Wood'.

Battle Abbey is a must when staying at this property. You can walk there in 5 minutes! The town has a good selection of shops, pubs and places to eat. There is also a Tourist information centre. Take a walk to the famous Battle of Hastings site where it seems the towns name came from. This is where King Harald died with an arrow through the eye and the Normans under King William took control of England in 1066. Bodiam Castle is not far away and a great picnic place on a good day. Been there and done this so can recommend! Pick up the local steam railway and go through to the lovely market ton of Tenterden and take a meal in one of the many restaurants or Tea rooms. Hastings is the nearest beach but guests should make Rye and Brighton if they like to take a trip back in time.
