THE COSTA BLANCA/VALENCIA/ALICANTE PROVINCE REGION Javea has something to offer everyone: beaches and coves and historical sites to visit and wonderful walks. the town is divided into three distinct sections. there is the old town, with its narrow cobbled streets and its monuments of Spanish history and culture. the town has a rich culinary tradition which has been entirely preserved and which can be sampled in the form of 'tapas ' in most bars in the town. the port area is still working fishing port is a delightful place to visit and its mixture of fish markets and seafront bars and cafes. Every year Javea's beaches are awarded the blue flag of the European union. The bustling 'arenal' beach offers fine sand and shallow waters which are nice play areas for children. restaurants, cafes,shops, and ample parking facilities.
