This spacious holiday home has a contemporary interior with luxury fixture and fittings. It is located at Newby Bridge, only a 15 min drive to Bowness and has stunning views from all aspects. It stands in 3/4 of an acre , with parking for up to 6 cars and has a landscape garden set amongst open fields with the hills as the perfect backdrop. It has 5 bedrooms, (2 bedrooms located downstairs) and 4 bathrooms, open plan living, added to which is a spacious conservatory with a second wall mounted TV with surround sound which overlooks the spacious garden. The open plan lounge and dining area has bi-fold doors which when folded back, open out to a sunny patio, with its feature stone walls and lush planting. It is a perfect retreat for 2 large families, or couples, who wish to have that added luxury whilst staying in such a beautiful location. The property has full Sky Package, wii console and games, internet access. Dogs welcome if supervised.

  • The master bedroom is located upstairs and has a 6ft bed and french doors with balcony and stunning views, it also has a raised bath which is placed next to a large picture window, which allows for a very pleasant bathing experience, this room also has a large en suite wet room, with spacious closet space, underfloor heating, large wash hand basin and WC. Next door to the master is a lovely twin-bedded room with an en suite bathroom with bath, WC and basin. Across the landing is the guest room with a double bed and en suite shower room, it has two large windows allowing light to flood in, making this room a very pleasant room to stay in. Downstairs is another double bedroom, which although is not en suite, there is a bathroom opposite, which can be used exclusively for this bedroom and the small bedroom next door which has bunk beds, ideal for a family who want their bedrooms close together.

New by bridge is an outstandingly beautiful part of the lakes, and the property is located right at the heart of this location, yet only a short stroll away form the Swan Hotel, and the New by Bridge hotel, both offer health club facilities, and a beauty spa. The quaint village of Cartmel is only a 15 min drive away, and Back barrow is directly behind us, which offers whitewater canoeing. Bowness and Lake Windermere are only a 15 min drive away, and Fell Foot park is just over the field, which you can access by simply walking across the field next to the house. Fell Foot Park is a national Trust Park and has picnic areas, playgrounds, and water sports.

Other Activities: hot air balloon rides from lakeside.

Half Term at The Haven

Grandparents, parents and children, aged 7 and 8, spent October half term in this lovely house, which is beautifully furnished and provided everything we needed, and more, especially the Wii !

The owner, Lynn, was attentive and caring, leaving some provisions for us to get started

The best holiday let we have ever stayed in, giving the impression of someone's own home as apart from a holiday let. Beautiful views, and Fell Foot park just along the road provided our kids with the opportunity to let off steam at the lakeside. Plenty to see and do in the area, including the zoo, aquarium and steam railway.
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Sightseeing, Families with Teenagers, Families with Young Children, People with Disabilities

We stayed on a combined family weekend with grandparents, children from 6 to 16 and a puppy, and had an amazing weekend. Fortunately for us the weather was beautiful which meant we could make the most of the lovely garden which was really accessible from the open plan living/dining/kitchen and conservatory. We were able to have a barbeque on the Saturday night and some of the family sat up late around a fire pit with drinks.
The interiors were up to the standard of luxury boutique hotels, absolutely faultless and beautifully designed. The layout of the house was great for a combined gathering and because the living space was open plan and large it really worked well with a larger group and the wall mounted huge TV was a great hit with my husband and the children!!

The location is great too - if you are a fan of the lakes this is perfect as it's right at the tip of Lake Windemere but away from the crowds.
The Swan hotel at Newby Bridge is very nice as are several pubs a short drive away.

Couldn't recommend it highly enough
