The Presqu'ile de Rhuys which extends west of the sea area boast its own microclimate comparable with areas much further south, and is a popular area for holidays offering safe sandy beaches on one side (Penvins, Suscinio, St Gildas) and the stunning Golfe du Morbihan (best seen by boat-trips available from Vannes or Port Navalo), on the other. Busy seaside resorts or sleepy little ports, sandy beaches, rockpools and clifftop walks, the choice is yours. The Golfe has them all.
