Albufeira is a fabulous unforgettable place. It's also a long established holiday destination, right in the centre of the Algarve, it has the advantage of a long coastal stretch of excellent environmental quality, a rural interior where hospitality and the picturesque coexist, and an urban quarter where the nightlife is full of surprises and unusual shows.The Villa Theresa is situated centrally in Albufeira. Turn left and you are about a 15 minute gentle stroll to the top end of the 'STRIP', equally go in the other direction and you are about a 25 minute stroll from the 'OLD TOWN' .These are the two main areas in Albufeira with subtle differences, the 'STRIP' is non stop shops,restaurants,pubs,and local tavernas and has a bustling atmosphere. The 'OLD TOWN' is situated around the old town square, and has lots of interesting little nooks and crannies ,but is equally busy.The fisherman's beech is a popular destination for sun worshippers with its pristine sand and beautiful sea.

I can personally recommend Pinhal and The Old course as being very lush. There is also Horse riding available at the Albufeira Riding centre and the area is ideal for hikers as it borders the local countryside.
