Well proportioned Cottage next to open farmland with private patio area. The well equipped kitchen with all mod con's leads to a large air conditioned lounge / dining area with Colour TV, DVD and Sky package.The air conditioned double bedroom has a Kingsize bed and colour TV. There is a twin bedded room with an option for a put you up bed for a 5th person at extra cost of £50.The bathroom has a walk in shower, bath, w/c and basin. The Cottage is well looked after and has underfloor heating. This ground level Cottage is suitable for those who are not easy with steps. Great for the elderly and young alike! The fields are for the guests use with child supervision. There are ponies, horses, 6 Wallaby's and various ducks. There is a large fishing pond for the use of guests during the season which has Carp, Tench, Bream, Roach and Rudd. A selection of bicycles are available at guests own risk. There is a baby seat/trolley with cover. Bring your own horse! Stable and sandschool.

Smarden is one of those villages that you see on the choclate boxes or the old Agatha Christie films. Indeed 'The Mirror Cracked' was filmed here. H.E Bates, 'The Darling Buds of May' was made between this village and nearby Pluckley which is said to be the most Haunted Village in England. Smarden is a mile or so from the cottage but has 3 good village pubs, a post office/store and a butchers. Tenterden or Headcorn are the nearest towns with supermarkets, restaurants and both well worth a visit. Leeds Castle, Sissinghurst Gardens, Tenterdens Steam Railway and Ashfords Designer Outlet are all within a 20 minute drive. Rye, Royal Tunbridge Wells and the sea within 30 minutes by car. This centrally located Cottage offers the chance to get around Kent with ease yet nestled away in the countryside. Great golf clubs close by including Chart Hills and Weald of Kent.
