In a very quiet and peaceful area but at the same time convenient for shops, ferries and local transport, the house is in the centre of the town and is a good starting point for visiting the famous Villas, gardens and quaint towns and villages along the lake. Or for any other excursions you may wish to make. I can offer you a selection of tours on the lake and the owner of the property, who lives in the house, also offers sight-seeing. The apartment is very well furnished and offers 2 bedrooms, comfortable lounge/kitchen area, with lake views, balcony for ‘al fresco’ dining and garden. The garden is shared with the owners who are very happy to have guests staying in their house. The kitchen is fully equipped and the rental includes all linens. Ideal for a family holiday.

Ossuccio may not be very well known, what a shame, it is a beautiful peaceful town on the western shore of the lake, it neighbours with Lenno, where the Italian national trust have their 'star' property, Villa Balbianello (ask me about tours), the Villa carlotta in tremezzo is a 2 minutes drive away. The village center is 5 minutes on foot and every Tuesday there is an excellent market which sells EVERYTHING!! You will find all shops, banks, post office, petrol station in Lenno. From Lenno, which is about 5 minutes walk, all the lake ferries stop, allowing you to move very easily on the lake, meaning that Bellagio is about 20 minutes boat ride away, it is only a is only a 25minute drive away from Cernobbio, the world famous hotel Villa D'este and the famous Villa Erba, where many exhibitions and trade fairs are held, the City of Como is a 30 minute drive away and of course Como is the Silk capital of Italy, so you will find lots of beautiful presents and souvenir to take home.

We stayed here August 09, whilst the views are fantastic, the balcony is tiny with no outdoor furniture. THe apartment is up 3 flights of stairs which was very tricky with small children. The garden is shared with not just another apartment but also the owners who use it extensively. The house is very poorly furnished, without kettle or sufficient cooking implements, if 4 adults stayed there would not be enough glasses or sufficient seating, and be warned that if you are there in summer it is extremely hot as it is a loft apartment. Also although you can easily walk down to the village the return is a long walk up a VERY steep hill - again not an option for little legs.
Owner's Response: This booking was not made through me, I know that there are other agencies who handle the apartment.
so this unfortunate renter must have booked through them.
I always make sure that the rentor knows exactly the position and circumstances of the apartment.
The garden is shared with the family as it says on the advertisment.
The photographs on the advert give a clear position of the house, on the hillside, so I can understand it being an uphill walk back from the lake and tiring for small children, although I would not call it STEEP,but it is quite obviouse fron the photos.

having said this, although I did not take this booking, I will advise the owner that he should supply fans for the heat, glasses and maybe a couple of small chairs and table for the balcony, in case the future guess do not want to use his garden.
I manage several aparments and villas on Lake Como and I aim to give all the information I can to rentors to avoid them being dissapointed, as this person clearly was.
