Situated in an idyllic hamlet within the magical pine forest of La Brena, the views lead through the verdant landscape to the sea and the historic lighthouse of Trafalgar. Casa Margareta offers you a unique experience.The tranquility of its natural surroundings makes it a great choice for that relaxing 'get away from it all' holiday,yet the summer 'buzz' of the beach is just 5 min down the road. The living space is open plan and boasts a glass wall of four doors opening onto a shady patio, filling it with light and allowing the outside-in.The garden terrace made of rustic railway sleepers is great for sunbathing and the perfect place to sip those sundowners. Chill for sure,but we are also ideally located for an incredible variety of activities,culture and adventure.How about walking,horse riding or cycling in the forest; a day out to one of the many famous historical Andalusia villages/towns nearby; or a simple stroll down to Canos beach to take in the view to Morocco across the water?

The exceptional immediate natural surroundings of the pine forest boasts horse riding,cycling and great walks. Unspoiled, spacious beaches are a 20 minute walk through the forest( a pleasure in itself ) and only 3 min by car.Surfing, windsurfing, and kite surfing are available. In Winter, rain water helps to form lagoons in the Trafalgar(Battle of) lighthouse area, and in summer 'chiringuitos' - wooden built bars occupy a temporary space to help make your beach experience more fun. The local village of Los Canos de Meca with its hippy chic restaurants, bars and shops is known as a trendy summer hot spot despite its small,off the beaten track location. The nearest town is Barbate, a typical Spanish fishing pueblo of strong Andalusian character with a great daily market -10 min by car. Vejer, a beautiful hilltop white Moorish village with excellent restaurants -15 min by car. Montenmedio-international golf course -15 min drive. Cadiz, Jerez, Tangiers, Tarifa or San Lucar de Barrameda.

Exchange rates apply at the time of payment. 25% deposit to reserve your booking, the balance is payable 1 month before arrival, also by bank transfer. Cash can be paid if booking very near date. Deposit of € 100 returnable if no damages. . An extra charge of € 30 will be made for cleaning for short stays. Extra charge of € 50 per week for central heating (underfloor) in winter season.

Casa Margareta is unusual in that it offers the best in contemporary design, facilities and comfort in a genuinely Arcadian surroundings. Not even one year old, this Mediterranean Modern apartment is fueled by solar power, inspired by Corbusier and much cared for by its owner.The large airy open plan living/dining/kitchen area is stylishly furnished with a mix of the modern, vintage and ethnic,.This opens onto the covered terrace with table and 4 chairs for outside dining and lovely views to the garden and the rural landscape. The underfloor heating provided by solar panels ensures total comfort in winter and on chillier days.

The garden has been landscaped with pebbles, wooden posts and architectural planting. A large palm tree is the focus in one corner leading the eye down towards the sea in the distance. The surroundings are very green at all times of year , the pine forest always an inspiration, the bird and animal life always vital ( including cows with tinkling bells a la Heidi, allowed to roam the forest in the winter), and the light of the Costa de la Luz always happily reminding us of where we are - somewhere very special.
