Our beautiful apartment is on the top (11th) floor, with stunning views overlooking the coast from the Cap d'Antibes to Nice, and across to the Alpes. It is situated on a hill overlooking Antibes in the beautifully maintained grounds of the prestigious Roi Soleil complex, with its large swimming pool, playground, tennis courts and boules area. There are a supermarket, shops and a pizzeria in the grounds. Antibes, with its picturesque Old Town, Picasso Museum and magnificent Harbour and many shops and restaurants is a 10 minute walk, Juan Les Pins with it's beaches and summer nightlife is a 15 minute walk. From here it is easy to travel by train or bus to the beautiful villages and towns along the Cote d'Azur including Cannes and Nice, and into Italy. By car, the Alps, the Verdun Gorge and Avignon are within one and a half hours away. There are many wonderful museums and galleries nearby, as well as golf. There is crazy golf, Marineland, Waterpark and Amusement Park nearby in Biot.

The lovely beaches of Juan Les Pins are 15 mins walk away. We have had day trips to Avignon, Arles, with its associations with Van Gogh, and the nature reserve of the Carmargue. Aix en Provence is beautiful, as are the many towns, villages and perched villages in the mountains. In the Mercantour national park there are wonderful walks. Concerts and events are organized throughout the year and there are countless excellent museums and galleries. Nice and Cannes are great locations and easy to get to. Must sees are the beautiful villages of St Paul de Vence and Mougins - famous for art (and restaurants in Mougins), and Grasse for its perfume factories. St Tropez and the Lerins Islands can be visited by car or day return boat trip. Monte Carlo and the Italian Riviera both within the hour. For skiing, Valberg, Isola 2000 and Auron are all within reach for a day trip. The Verdon Gorge, the largest in Europe, is a dramatic sight, with many watersports available such as kayaking and rafting.

Notes: Le Roi Soleil complex has beautifully manicured gardens, tennis courts, a huge swimming pool with seperate childrens pool. A childrens play area and boules. It is roughly made up of half full time residents, and half second homes. It is very quiet. There are shops on site, which are for the general public. These include a pizzeria, a Casino supermarket, a chemist, a fruit shop, a butcher etc. The apartment does not need air conditioning as it is a corner position on 11th floor and gets a wonderful air current through it. It is never too hot, the temperature is perfect. As it is on 11th floor, children MUST be carefully supervised at all times.
