Villa Stella di Mare is located in a very peaceful, quiet neighbourhood on the peninsula with a access to beautiful gardens and a swimming pool. The sea is only 120 meters away, there are many locations where you can swim within 5-10 min driving. There is wireless broadband internet access, a covered outdoor dining area and there are two comfortable terrace seating areas for a cool sun downer at the end of the day where you can enjoy the spectacular sunsets with superb unrestricted views across the bay. Nestled at the foot of the impressive Taurus range, Kas looks out across a calm turquoise blue bay to the Greek island of Meis (Kastellorizo). It guards the entrance to a small, eyebrow shaped, peninsula. (“Kas”, in Turkish means eyebrow). Renowned for scuba diving, paragliding and sailing, Kas is the ideal base to explore the many ancient historical sites of old Lycia and the Lycian Way.

The Lycian province offers both picturesque sea and mountain landscapes. On the seaside, there numerous beautiful sites such as Patara beach (12km long sand beach with turtles) and its historical park, Kekova island and Simena castle, Kaputash beach and creek and the Greek island of Kastellorizo just facing the Kas Peninsula. There are opportunities to do trekking, see archaeological sites, hire a boat and enjoy gulet cruises. On the country side, you can visit Saklikent canyon (60 km from Kas), go to the Green Lake on the Taurus mountain by a wonderful road through a cedar forest overlooking the Gömbe valley (40 km). Kas has a typical mediterranean climate with cool winter, warm spring, hot summer and pleasant autumn.

  • Please contact the owner for full booking conditions.
    We offer linen change one time a week. If you would like a bed change more frequently this can be arranged for 80 euros per week. You may prefer privacy, however if you would like to have a daily morning maid service for bed making and light cleaning, this can be arranged for an additional 200 euros per week. The price includes post departure cleaning.
  • At the time of booking, we ask for 50% of your total balance. Once this is received by us this constitutes acceptance of our booking conditions and a commitment to proceed with the booking. The full payment is due 8 weeks before you check into the villa.

Some facts: Saint Nicholas, known as Santa Claus, was born and lived as bishop of Myra in Demre, very close to Kas. According to the legend, he secretly bestowed dowries upon the daughters of a poor citizen. This originated the custom of giving presents on the eve of the feast of Saint Nicholas, a tradition later transferred to Christmas Day. The oldest known shipwreck on earth was excavated in Ulu Burun near Kas. Wonders of the World in Turkey: the Temple of Art, Ephesus and the Mausoleum at Halicarnassus Homer's birthplace Izmir (Smyrna) and the city of Troy are located in Anatolia. The world's first beauty contest was held on Mount Ida (Kaz Dagi). The contestants were Aphrodite, Hera and Athena under the judgment of Paris Mount Ararat is in Anatolia. According to tradition, Ararat is the place where Noah's Ark landed. Saint Paul was born in Tarsus in southern Turkey. Tulips were introduced to Holland from Anatolia by Ogier Ghiselin de Busbecq in 1554.
