Completely renovated last year our apartment boasts modern day living in a beautiful old village house. All modernisation is carried out to a very high standard. It comprises two bedrooms decorated in mute natural colours. It boasts an Italian shower in a spacious bathroom. The living room includes television and DVD player. There is a sofa bed which sleeps two people and a seperate double sofa. The kitchen/dining room is fully equipped with an oven, hob, fridge/freezer, microwave, kettle, toaster, coffee machine and a washing machine.There is dual air-conditioning /heating throughout. All bedding and towels are included in the price. There is a lovely terrace to the back of the apartment complete with barbecue. Here you can sit and relax with a beautiful view of the Albéres. There are two little terraces off the two bedrooms to the front of the property. A minutes walk brings you to local bakeries, butchers etc and a five minute walk finds two major supermarkets and a hypermarket.

This is a one bedroom apartment - modernised and fully equipped. It comprises a living/dining area, a kitchen complete with oven, hob, washing machine, microwave, kettle, coffee machine and all essential kitchen utensils. There is a double bedroom which opens onto a terrace at the back of the property with magnificent views of the mountains. There is a sofa bed in the living room so the apartment can comfortably sleep four people. This property was completely renovated last year so everything in it is new. Bed linen and towels are included in the price. A baby cot and high chair are available on request. The apartment is fully equipped with dual heating/air-conditioning. It is decorated throughout in mute, neutral colors. There is wireless internet access in all apartments.

Le Boulou is very favourably placed to avail of lots of activities. On one side we are 20 km from the beach in Argeles and Canet Plage in the other direction. In the winter period we are an hours drive from the slopes in Andorra and Les Angles. Le Boulou is home to one of Frances's infamous thermal spas which attracts visitors all year round. We are 8 km from the celebrated artists village - Céret, home to many struggling now famous artists in bygone days. Ten minutes from our front door and you find yourself over the border in Spain. A stones throw away is Figueres- home to the famous Dali museum, also Girona with it's magnificent architecture. A little further on and you are in Barcelona - a truly inspiring city - not to be missed.Closer to home Le Boulou has twice weekly markets - Sunday and Thursday mornings where you can purchase local home grown produce. You can mingle with the locals, enjoy a coffee at one of the many pavement cafes and watch the world go by. Truly relaxing

Notes: The property is situated in the centre of the village where you are surrounded by local people. It is within walking distance of the shops - bakeries, butchers, newsagents, pavements cafes and a small supermarket.A five minute walk brings you to two larger supermarkets ans a hypermarket. . In the village we have a twice weekly market- Sunday and Thursday mornings where you will find fresh local produce on sale. This is an excellent opportunity to practice your french as you partake of a coffee and watch the world go by.

Our Story:: The property was built around 1850. We bought it in 2005 and it was one big magnificent house. Unfortunately, it was too big for us to live in and we also needed to generate an income so we decided to renovate it and turn it into apartments. It was a mammoth undertaking and to be honest not an experience I would ever like to repeat, on the other hand my husband thoroughly enjoyed it. He undertook the job of overseeing the whole project and was very much hands on doing quite a lot of the work himself. Without him our dream would not have been realized. The work was started in January 2007 and finished the 1st of August 2008 - we had our first paying guests arriving the 2nd of August - yes , it was that close. It really is like the programmes you see on the television. We have had lots of laughs and tears along the way but it has definitely been worth it. That is just a little bit of our history and the history of the house.
