Not that you need to stray too far from your villa, as it has all you could possibly want. Awaits is your own private 9 x 5 meter pool with sun beds and loungers, fully fitted kitchen, UK satellite TV (in 3 rooms), air conditioning, large open plan living room and external landscaped gardens (feel free to pick your own lemon for the G&T). Small Spanish village approximately 10 kms inland from the Mediterranean Sea. The village is traditionally built around the Church Square, and surrounded by agricultural land where almond plantations, peppers, artichokes and olive groves, set in the foot hills beyond, all grow in abundance. Famous for its Easter and October (Rosario) festivals, where the main street is closed to traffic and given over to a religious procession, fireworks and a carnival-like atmosphere, with village folk lining the narrow streets.

Additional information about rental rates

  • A booking/damage/security deposit of £100 is required to confirm booking. The full rental cost is payable 8 weeks before arrival. The booking/damage/security deposit will be returned within 7 days of departure following a check by key holders. The £100 deposit is non refundable in the event of cancellation, as this covers our administration costs and a need to re-advertise the property at discount to try and secure another booking. The day of arrival and the number of days you wish to book are flexible. You can, in most cases, have access to the property right up until you need to depart for your journey home. Should we ask you to vacate slightly earlier than your travel requirements, it will only be to accommodate the thorough cleaning of the villa prior to arrival of another booking, and you can securely leave your bags in the house during this period. We will never ask any guest to vacate any earlier than 3 hours prior to check-in time of next holiday guests; or before 1100 hrs.
  • As a responsible landlord, we take very great care in the villa's cleanliness and overall presentation, so that you enjoy your well-earned holiday from the moment you walk through the door. To achieve continued high standards, please note that there is an additional one-off cleaning payment of either 45 euros (for up to 4 persons); 50 euros (5 people); or 55 euros (6 persons), payable locally in Spain to the key holder responsible for ensuring the villa is properly prepared and timely ready for the next guests. Payment is to be made locally to the key holders direct, who will introduce themselves as your holiday unfolds, and at the same time ensure all is satisfactory with your personal stay. Indeed, this may well be the opportunity to 'pick brains' on the very latest attractions, beaches to go to, top restaurants, seasonal events and other similar general 'insider' information which combine to make your holiday the best ever.
  • There is a £45-00 per week optional supplement for air con; however, the villa is already fitted and includes ceiling fans in all 3 bedrooms.
    Significant discount rates are available for extended periods of 3 weeks or more. Please ask for details.
    Guests are requested to note that BEACH TOWELS are NOT provided.

Transport When I Arrive ........?: Car hire is not absolutely essential, as the villa is approximately only a 14-minute taxi ride away from the Airport, and on the outskirts of a small village where most 'life support' items can be purchased from village shops, mini-markets, bars, cafes etc, which are accessible on foot (1 km walk to village Square). However, if you want to fully enjoy the numerous local attractions and make use of the many facilities and sights the area has to offer, car hire is strongly recommended - unless you simply want to lounge about the pool and totally escape it all. Fortunately, car hire in Spain (along with the cost of fuel) is generally much cheaper than UK. The majority of budget airlines have their own discounted internet hyper-link taking you to a reputable car hire company which will meet all your needs and budgetary requirements. In summer, car air con is strongly recommended. And don't forget to take your DRIVING LICENSE! Directions to villa would be furbished on booking.

Water Sports and Golf: The nearby Mar Menor lagoon is a mecca for all varieties of water-borne sports - and because of its warm and shallow waters, a fantastic venue for children of all ages to play safely. In addition to water sports, a good way to get around the Mar Menor area generally is by means of a local passenger ferry, which regularly tours around the approx 9 x 5 mile lagoon stopping off in a set sequence, eventually taking you back to where you started. Far too many to mention, Sucina village (your villa's location) is surrounded by countless top quality championship and generally high quality and outstandingly beautiful golf courses. Worthy of note, a small English-speaking golf society has recently formed, and now holds monthly Society meetings at nearby courses. New and temporary members are always welcome. If interested when there, just pop into 'Franc and Louise's' bar in the village (you won't miss it) and check-out the 'SUCINA GOLF SOCIETY' Information Board for things happening.

Lovely place to stay, genuine, honest owners

Located in a street with many other villas on both sides, but they are not too intrusive in my opinion.

Plenty of room inside and out with a lovely, well maintained pool and gardens.

Honest, helpful owners. Friendly neighbours (villa owners) that respected our privacy.

There are many dog owners in the area but no dogs roaming around.

I'd recommend hiring a car for a day to go shopping on arrival, then relax by/in the pool for the rest of your stay. Of course, if you can't cope with such relaxation, there's plenty to do within a 10-20 minute drive including great beaches, landscapes, watersports etc.
