Chalet Le Soleil is the closest chalet to the Vanoise Express and is at the foot of the modern ‘Peisey’ eight man chair lift. The chalet is in the centre of Plan Peisey and at 1,650 metres, you can ski right to the door and reach both lifts in seconds. The high capacity Peisey lift will whisk you above 2,000 metres so you can ski into the other Les Arcs resorts. Alternatively, you can take the Vanoise Express across the valley to La Plagne. The chalet was fully refurbished in 2008 and offers modern facilities including satellite TV, internet, boot warmers and a high level of comfort. There are lots of restaurant facilities within easy reach as well as shops, ski school, ski hire and so on. Once in the resort you do not need a car. The chalet is let on a self catering basis usually by the week from Saturday to Saturday, other periods may be available on request.

Plan-Peisey is part of the resort of Peisey-Vallandry, the jump off point from Les Arcs for the Vanoise Express which crosses the Tarantaise valley to La Plagne to make Paradiski - over 400km of skiing on 239 runs. Chalet le Soleil is the closest to the Vanoise Express and seconds from the eight seater Lift 61 which serves Les Arcs. As one of the most central chalets in the village, not only are the lifts just seconds away, shops, bars, restaurants, ski school, nursery slopes are all in close proximity. Despite its central location, the chalet maintains its peace and privacy even at the height of the season. Peisey-Vallandry is a family friendly village which offers amenities for all ages such as crèche facilities, group and individual ski lessons, nursery slopes, and plenty to do for the advanced skier. At 1600 metres on the sunny side of the slope, Peisey Vallandry is always well served with snow and had plenty of snow cover in 2006/07 which was one of the worst seasons for years

  • Two well fitted bathrooms (one en-suite) are provided plus a separate toilet. All were recently refurbished with modern fittings and are tiled floor to ceiling. The en-suite contains a large dual head walk-in shower, a toilet and sink/vanity unit. The main bathroom has a bath and shower above with a screen and a separate sink/vanity unit. The separate toilet room contains just a toilet with a concealed cistern.

Notes: Outside there is a large decked terrace of approximately 20 square metres which contains a number of storage areas. In the summer and late season, the terrace is ideal for al-fresco dining. A separate boot room is provided which serves as a ski store and a place to store and put on ski-boots which are not allowed in the chalet. The boot room also contains boot warmers for snug feet. A large balcony serves the upstairs which is accessible from bedroom two. Inside the recently fitted kitchen contains all amenities and includes a granite worktop. The lounge has a large flat screen TV with Sky satellite for UK guests and Canal+ for European. A DVD is provided. A number of games are provided and an iPod dock for music. The chalet has its own dedicated internet service which can be wired or wireless. A computer is provided in bedroom three.
