Finca Almagre is very cosy and tranquil with beautiful views. This renovated 'finca' is perfect for a romantic get-away or a lovely family holiday. There is a small pool for cooling off in the warm summer months with a large surrounding sun terrace. A big pepper tree stands in the middle of the grounds providing much needed shade. The covered terrace has a sitting area, a dining table with seating for 8 people and an outside kitchen and barbecue. Here you can spend long leisurely evenings watching the sun set over the mountains with a glass of wine and some Spanish tapas. There is another more secluded terrace to the back of the house with beautiful flowers and plants. Almagre is a red ocher colour derived from oxidised iron found in stones in the area. The exterior of the house is painted in this colour. The house has a private driveway and there is parking place for two cars within the gates. On the grounds you will find lemon, orange, avocado, olive and almond trees.

Finca Almagre is situated only 1.5 km to the edge of Coín which is a central market town in the Guadalhorce valley. The town itself still has the charm of the typical Andalusian villages but it also boasts a brand new shopping mall with a supermarket, restaurants, a gym and a cinema complex. On Saturday mornings there is a lively market. There are numerous restaurants in and around town to discover. You're within easy reach of historic Ronda, the El Chorro Gorge, the classic city Málaga with the Picasso Museum and, of course, Marbella with its old world charm, shopping and beaches. Sevilla, Granada and Córdoba are 2.5 hours drive away. Horse riding, walking, tennis and many excellent golf courses are all close-by.

Notes: Inside the house there is an open plan living room with dining area and kitchen. The living room has a built in fire place to warm up the chillier evenings. All the rooms inside have wooden beams. The dining table inside seats 4 people but there is seating for 8 people at the table outside on the terrace where you will probably spend most time during the day and on balmy evenings. There are four bedrooms on the 'finca', two of them are in the main house and the other two are actually separate little houses. The master bedroom has a double bed and doors opening to the back terrace. The other bedroom inside has two single beds. Both bedrooms have underfloor heating. The bathroom inside the house has a shower, washbasin and toilet. The outside bedrooms both have smaller double beds. One of the outside bedrooms has it’s own little bathroom with a shower and toilet.

Our family of three generations, stayed at Finca Almagre for 10 days in June-July this year. The finca is a nice place for lazy days at the pool with your own food bought in the village Coin - prepared at the barbeque. For us the finca also served as a base for our travels to other parts of Costa del Sol. We spent several days at the beach in Marbella and especially Puerto Banus - about half an hour drive. These are great places both for shopping and restaurants. We also went to some other attractive sites like the Crocodile Park and "Aqualand" in Torremolinos. Both can be recomended, althoug the latter came out a bit expensive. One night we went to a recommended restaurant "Santa Fe" just outside Coin, where we had a delicious meal served outside under an old olive tree. Also this place can be highly recommended. We thank Karin and Michael - the owners of the finca.
