BARGAIN HOLIDAY, last rental before refurbishment. REDUCED PRICES. This former farmhouse has been converted to 4 self catering gites set in 1.5 acres of private grounds planted with large trees. It is situated 30mn South of the historic city of Carcassonne, at the entrance of a small medieval village, a very private spot with no neighbours close by. A spacious 15x8 m swimming pool has been recently installed with a paddling pool for kids and a solar shower. It is shared with 3 more gites from the village but there is room for everybody. The gite will be refurbished next winter, however the bathroom has already been done. Ground-floor: Kitchen, dining room, sitting room with a fireplace, opening onto the 40 m2 South facing terrace with garden furniture and BBQ. 1 bedroom with 2 single beds. Separate toilets. First floor: 2 dble bedrooms with dble bed. Bathroom. Large parking space. There are bakers, cafes, restaurants, supermarkets and various villages/small towns within 10min drive.

The gite is situated at the entrance of the medieval village of St Polycarpe, 10 mn from Limoux and 30 mn from the historic City of Carcassonne, 1h 15 mn from Toulouse, 1 h from the seaside and 1h 30mn from the skiing resorts. All amenities in Limoux, a charming and picturesque town with a large square surrounded with arcades where you can enjoy a drink or a meal in the numerous cafés and restaurants. Limoux is famous for its sparkling wine and its Carnival, the longest in the world. Cultural Activities: Visite of the City of Carcassonne, magnificent walled city with double fortifications and 52 towers. Amazing fireworks spectacle on July 14th, Carcassonne Cultural Festival in July and medieval spectacles in August. Visit of the abbeys of Fontfroide and St Hilaire and the ancient cathar castles. Many interesting museums and even one about Dinosaurs for the younger ones.Sporting activities: canoeing and water sports, walking and cycling, golf, fishing, swimming, adventure park, skiing.
