Worth visiting is the old market town of Loule and the old town of Faro. Most people like to visit Albufeira as well. You can go deep sea fishing from Vilamoura Marina. There are also numerous pleasure cruises to choose from, It is possible to walk to Quarteira along the beach and past the fishing boat harbour. In Quarteira you will find a lovely promenade, nice for an evening stroll, it has a long beach, plenty of restaurants, shops and of course the daily fish and vegetable market, mornings only. On Wednesday mornings there is a gypsy market on the main dual carriageway which is definitely worth a visit. Every morning there is a fish and vegetable market near the car park and the fishing boat area.
Further details:
The journey time from Faro Airport is about 30 minutes. The nearest supermarket is 3 minutes away, just across the road. Within a 10 minute walk you will find a few restaurants, bars, another supermarket, gift shop and an English hairdresser Joannes. The local bus stops nearby going to Faro and Albufeira. There is also a Tourist road train that runs regularly yo the beach and Marina. You pay as you get on. Close by are tennis courts, lawn bowls and mini golf. Not forgetting The golf courses, numerous in Vilamoura. Aqua parks are not too far away. Vilamoura has a Casino with a restaurant and live shows. In the busy Marina you will find shops, restaurants and bars that stay open until late.
Conditions:
A damage breakage deposit is required for larger items. A deposit or 25% is required on booking, the balance to be paid 6 weeks before departure. Maid service is mid week when the towels are changed and the shower rooms are cleaned. For those on a 2 week stay there will be a full clean and change of linen at the end of the week as well. Toiletries are provided in the shower rooms and a small welcome pack will be left in the kitchen consisting of milk, water,orange juice,soft drink, a bottle of wine and tea/coffee items.
