A brand new, privately owned luxury villa located in the beautiful and unspoilt Western Algarve near Lagos. The villa is part of the stunning, low density AlmaVerde Village and Spa resort which has won numerous International Awards. With two double and two twin bedrooms the Villa comfortably sleeps 8 but can do 10 with sofa bed and is well suited to 2 families sharing. The Villa has: Mezzanine floor making a spacious double height living room with dining area, Cable TV (all terrestrial channels/Sky Sports), fully equipped kitchen, award winning Cool House climate control system and 2 roof terraces. The ground floor has: Master bedroom suite with dressing area, bath and shower, twin bedroom, fitted kitchen, spacious sitting room, cloakroom/loo. Upstairs is: Double bedroom suite with shower room, terrace, twin bedroom, shower room, large mezzanine area with sofa bed, terrace. Outside: Pool with cover, steps and shallow end, BBQ, 6 sun-loungers, umbrellas, patio table & chairs to seat 8.

The Western Algarve beaches are amongst the most beautiful and least crowded in Europe. There are numerous sheltered sandy coves close by on the South coast; Burgau and Salema are traditional fishing villages with clean sandy beaches, cosy beachside bars and terrace restaurants. Burgau is just 2km from AlmaVerde. Between there and Salema lie the quieter beaches of Cabanas Velhas and Boca do Rio, and to the West of Salema are Figueira, Furnas, Ingrina, Zavial and Martinhal beaches; each with its own charm. Or venture a little further a field to one of the many expansive and dramatic West coast beaches that face the Atlantic. Alternatively drive inland through the rolling hillside country to stroll in the nearby National Park. The whole area is ideal for both families and those after some solitude. With over 100 restaurants and countless cafes and bars in the Lagos area there is plenty of choice across the region for eating out.

A perfect choice for our first trip to Portugal. The villa was immaculately presented , very spacious, well equipped and nicely furnished. The large private pool, all-day sunny terrace, barbeque and beautifully landscape garden made for a wonderful holiday.
The villa is well located, within easy reach of numerous beautiful beaches, restaurants and the towns of Lagos and Sagres.
The owners were very helpful and informative throughout and pleasure to deal with.
We will definitely be back. (soon!)

2 enjoyable weeks in AlmaVerde

We had a lovely 2 weeks in this AlmaVerde villa. It was beautifully designed inside and out, very spacious well furnished and comfortable. Outside was nicely landscaped with the lovely pool as the focal point - especially popular with the children. Inside there was plently of room for the seven of us, a big lounge, impressive kitchen, very comfortable bedrooms and bathrooms. It will be interesting to see what the AlmaVerde resort is like when it was complete (much is still under construction). We did use the tennis courts, which were of a high standard. It is located close to some beautiful beaches and small coastal villages, unlike the more built up central and Eastern parts of the Algarve. We'd definitely go back!

Great Holiday

This was our second year at Almaverde, our first in this house. The property was as described, well stocked and plenty of space for eight people,child friendly. Only disappointment was the pool heating, but this could have been a fault of the system. Owner and management couldn't have been more helpful.Plenty of family restaurants locally in Burgau-Biramar, Espiche- Fontanario and Valverde near Pria de Luz. Overall a very good experience and would recommend it .

This is a great property for spending time with your kids. The house is very spacious, the rooms have confortable beds and the kitchen is well supplied. The pool and surrounding garden are very pleasant to enjoy the sun. With a car the great beach of Praia da Luz is just a 10 min drive and there are other nearby places to visit (Sagres, Lagos and Portimão).

Alma Verde is Great!

We are a family of four and we had a great holiday. Viall is big, well kitted out and the pool and garden are private and beautiful. we exploared the local area - lots to do and see and ate locally a lot! Shops nearby sell all you need. Clean safe beaches about 10 minutes by car and easy to park etc.The villa is secure and the management staff friendly but with your own privacy and quiet. We will hope to go again in the Spring.
