Foz with its architecture found in the old bourgeois villas, the loveliest Porto’s area, which offers a night and day great life style holiday. Porto’s attractions are just a few steps away: beaches; boutiques, gourmet shops, top restaurants and clubs, delightful green areas like Parque da Cidade or art Deco gardens of the Serralves, also home to the internationally renowned Contemporary Art Museum. Contemplate the sunset in a trendy alfresco café located along the beach promenade or just 0,5 km further on the Douro River bank. Very well served by public transports, you will be a short ride from the UNESCO area, the Port wine lodges, Casa da Musica and all city’s attractions. We stayed at the apartment in June 2009 and it was fantastic; clean, big and you can see the sea from the living room window. A short 10/15 minute walk from the beach, a couple of brilliant beach bars and some brilliant sunshine - what's not to like?!! We did venture to the concert hall Casa Da Musica which is amazing and has English tours, and the park at the contemporary art gallery is good but not as "great" as the guide books say. Some good restaurants near the apartment but you may want to enjoy the apartment and eat in some evenings. There’s a good supermarket around the corner. Marta (owner) is really friendly and helpful.

It’s an affluent area, so nothing is particularly cheap, but that does mean the area isn’t heaving with tourists.
