Villa Iremia is on the beautiful island of Kefalonia. It is a 2 storey luxury family villa offering a high standard of accommodation in a peaceful setting amongst olive trees within the beautiful Greek village of Lourdas. Villa Iremia has its own private pool 7x 4M pool. It comprises of 2 twin bedrooms (1 on ground floor) and 1 master double bedroom, all with luxury ensuite bathroom/shower rooms, fully air-conditioned bedrooms, large living/dining area with Satellite TV, DVD player and CD Radio. Upstairs lounge (with feature fireplace) which opens onto a separate balcony. Fully fitted kitchen with hob,oven, fridge freezer,microwave, dishwasher and washing machine. The living area opens out to a patio area including sunloungers, outside dining table and chairs, pool and garden. It has a drive for 3 cars. The villa faces south toward the ocean and the island of Zante beyond.

Villa Iremia is located within the charming Greek village of Lourdas. Lourdas is located at the bottom of Mount Ainos and enjoys an exceptional micro-climate. The natural vegetation consists of cypress trees, olive and pine trees, but you can also see exotic palm and banana trees. Lourdas bay is on the south coast of Kefalonia and is one of the largest bays of the island and is fringed by over 2 miles of sand and pebble beach. The beach is within 800m walking distance down a steep incline through the village past the famous plane tree and natural spring, but the walk up is only for the fittest! In the village itself there are several restaurants, tavernas and small shops. Argostoli, the capital town 10km away, is a bustling cosmopolitan town with a lovely relaxed and friendly atmosphere. Many an evening has been spent in one of the excellent restaurants surrounding the large square watching the exciting entertainment. Here you will find a range of boutiques and designer shops.

Great relaxing holiday

We have just returned from a 2 week holiday staying this first class villa. The villa is fantastically situated on the hillside above Lourdas beach with south facing views over the sea to Zante. It has very modern facilities throughout with 3 good bedrooms, each with its own en suite and air conditioning plus an extra downstairs bathroom, and a well provided for kitchen. The pool was perfect for us. On arrival everything in the villa and pool area was ready and beautifully clean. The villa manager and cleaner attended as promised.
The walk up to the villa from the beach can be a bit of a strain especially in the heat of the day or after a meal and a few drinks in the evening. To access the beach on foot the best route, being both picturesque and terraced, is along the grassy path beside Thorntons Tea Shop which serves a decent beer and frappe.
We ate at most of the local tavernas and got good value. The best meals were definitely at the Olive Lounge and Andromedas but it was reflected in the cost.
We visited places all around the beautiful island of kefalonia but most enjoyed Fiskardo (long drive) Sami and Skala. Two bays worth a visit are Karavados, mostly rock but some sand, and Avithos -a sandy bay.
Lourdas is a quiet friendly place with a fantastic beach and good variety of tavernas. It suited us perfectly but families with teenagers may find it too quiet.
All in all a great holiday.

Fantastic Time Had By All!

This luxury villa is beautifully located on a mountain side with stunning views all round. Stylishly decorated with excellent facilities inside and out. The perfect base for our daily adventures either on foot or by car and no day was complete without several dips in the fantastic, clean and well-maintained swimming pool.
The people of Lourdas village are very friendly, as are the cats. Please feed the cats if you can!
A visit to Thornton's Welsh Tea Rooms in the 'Square' at the foot of the hill is a must and just down the road to the right, Dionysus restaurant is an excellent find for eating in and out. The menu is great and includes delicious traditional Greek specialites and superb take away pizzas which they can deliver - details are in the villa, just phone them up.
The villa manager, Alexis and his wife, Errieta took care of our every need, even sorting a taxi for our reluctant, but very scenic journey back to the airport.
Most Highly Recommended - See you again soon!

FABULOUS VIEWS

Lovely villa - thoroughy recommend. The villa looks just as it does in the photos, it is well built and maintained and is super clean. Views are amazing. All bedrooms have a great outlook, even the downstairs room. 4 bathrooms, so two couples and two teenagers was never a problem! Aircon in the bedrooms so can keep cool if it gets too hot. We only walked to the shops once, its too hilly, you need a car and then there are so many restaurants, shops, beaches within really easy reach. We picked this villa last minute and frankly took a bit of pot luck based onthe reviews, but it exceeded expectations, for the actual villa and its location.
Pool area not great for ball games etc. as there are plenty of places to loose the ball - and you do need a car to get anywhere - so worth considering if you plan on going with older teenagers.

Fantastic Private Villa 10/10

The six of us had a fantastic week in this stunning villa, we didn't want the holiday to end. The villa is exactly as it looks in the pictures and was very clean and well maintained. The best feature is the private pool with views to the sea at one side and mountains to the other. Lourdas village itself is fairly quiet but has some lovely bars and restaurants, especially along the sea front. Although we didn't hire a car, we would recommend it as the walk up from the beach is very steep and the nearest supermarket is about a 15-20 minute walk away. The villa is really well equiped and has everything you need for a relaxing holiday, I would definitely recommend it.

WHAT A FANTASTIC VILLA!

The first thing you notice when arriving at Villa Iremia are the most superb panoramic sea views, and also the island of Zante, breathtaking! These views are the only excuse you need for a return holiday to this splendid well-looked after villa. The pool and barbecue areas are great also, and you have to eat out in an evening on the lovely patio area.
When venturing out of the villa in the evening we found the most delightful restuarant called Andromeda, this is only 10 mins walk from the villa. This lovely restuarant did some splendid fish and meat dishes, and the owners were charming. Just around the corner from Andromeda is a superb bar called Muses, this was a great place to relax and have a few drinks.
Lourdas beach is a great place to go during the day and just around the corner following the coast round there are a couple of smaller, quieter, secluded beachs which are well worth visiting.
All in all this was lovely villa holiday, so thanks to the owners!
FIRST CLASS!!
