The Nook is quietly situated just to the edge of the centre of the village of Braunton, just a few minutes walk from the local shops, pubs and restaurants, but also within easy reach of North Devon's magnificent coastline and lovely beaches. The Nook offers an extremely comfortable and homely base in this very popular village. Tastefully furnished to a high standard throughout. There is a spacious lounge/dining room with colour TV, DVD, video and music centre with CD player. Electric woodburning effect stove and two leather upholstered sofas create a very cosy atmosphere. Dining table and four chairs.

Banks and takeaways are also readily available. Beautiful beaches, the nearest being the stunning expanse of Saunton Sands only 2 miles away, with Croyde, Woolacombe, Putsborough and Crow Point only a short drive. Saunton Sands is ideal for surfing, windsurfing and kiteboarding or just relaxing. The Tarka Trail, ideal for walking or cycling, is just around the corner. Barnstaple, the county town of North Devon, is only 5 miles away. Saunton Golf Course boasts of two 18-hole golf links, one a championship course, again only 2 miles away

What a great property

In over 20 years of renting holiday cottages the "Nook" was the cleanest , well maintained property we have rented.
Very comfortable and homely, It was just a short walk to the centre of Braunton, excellent service and quality from the London Inn ( fantastic curry) and the surf and turf for the best spicey chicken, good fish and chips ( a rare treat ) from Squires and South Sixteen.
The people of Braunton are amongst the friendliest we have met, very dog friendly with some fantastic local walks ( to walk off the food ), The beach at Saunton is lovely and clean, though the car park a bit pricey at £5.00 per visit. Braunton is an ideal base for discovering the delights of North Devon and the Nook is is the ideal place to stay

A lovely, spacious, comfortable house with attractive private courtyard garden. Very quiet area, but walking distance to the village which has full range of coffee shops, restaurants, pubs, surf shops, chemists, small supermarkets and plenty more. Great childrens playground near by and about 10 minutes drive to stunning Saunton Sands beach - perfect for surfing, safe for toddler paddling and a great place whatever the weather. No problems with the house at all and would be very happy to book again and to recommend. Did not try out public transport, but ideal location for visiting many of Devon's famous attractions and towns nearby. Not near enough to walk to beach but you can't have it all!
