Located on the border of Calvados and the Orne, Le Morduis is situated between the towns of Falaise and Argentan both of which have plenty of shops, bars and restaurants to make your holiday fun.
Falaise was the birthplace of William the conqueror and is a delightful market town, full of history, not only from the 11th century, but also from the second world war.
Argentan was a centre for lace-making and has a pretty main street leading down to the river.
Further afield are the landing beaches of d-day, with many associated museums and sites. The thriving city of Caen makes a great day out with museums from the time of the Conqueror to the second world war, as well as great shopping.Bayeux and its tapestry are also easily accessible for a day out.
For active holidays the area can offer riding, biking, golf, canoeing, rock-climbing and swimming,or if you fancy a more laid-back approach, the pretty countryside provides plenty of opportunity for rambling and picnicking.
Enjoy!
