A beautiful old stone Cabanon nestled in the tree shaded hills behind the medieval village, Bagnols-en-Foret. Atmospheric and tranquil with impressive mountain views, this unique property has been lovingly renovated and extended into a delightful family retreat. The house consists of four double bedrooms, a family bathroom, walk in shower room and separate WC. The generous sitting room and central kitchen both lead onto the gardens and overlook the pool. An eight seater dining table is situated within the cloisters joining the original cabanon with the main house. Restored over 25 years by artist owners, the property is bursting with character and charm, from the stunning mosaic of hand painted tiles in the kitchen to the wisteria covered outside entertaining space with pizza oven and barbeque...perfect for alfresco lunches. There is a play area with swing and tree house for the kids and a walled secret garden. Extensive well stocked gardens continue alongside the pool and beyond.

Bagnols is a pretty hilltop medieval village surrounded by oak forests, overlooking a stunning mountain range and valley. The village has family run restaurants, cafes, shops with necessities and wine co-op. In the surrounding area there are more wine domains to explore, a variety of traditional village markets, tennis, golf, fishing, cycling, riding and mapped forest walks, even paragliding and flying small planes! There are a variety of water sports available on the vast Lac St.Cassien, only 15 mins away. The nearest beaches are Frejus and St.Raphael, Cannes at 30 mins, Nice and St.Tropez at 50 mins. Every area of the Riviera has something different to offer, from sports to shopping, glamour to gastronomy. Monaco, Italy and the Southern Alps are also great day trips or just for lunch...if you can tear yourself away from the tranquility of the Cabanon!

  • All linen and towels supplied in rental prices. Heating charged at 50 pounds a week from October to April.
