Catania City holiday apartment

My son and I recently took a trip to Sicily to locate my grandparents' birth certificates. We wanted to stay in Catania as this was central to the location of both of their births.
We got lucky and happened upon Anna Laura's apartment. Her apartment is very charming, comfortable and adequately furnished in an excellent location. It is located in a secure building near Piazza Teatro Massimo. Looking out the window, you can see the theater just the down street to the left.
The street is very lively with many clubs and restarants close by. It was fun to take part in the activities on the street until late in the evening or watch from the balcony, but when we wanted to sleep, we closed the sound-proof doors to the peace of our lovely apartment. There are two air conditioning units, one in each room that made our stay perfectly comfortable even in the height of the August temperature.
The location was perfect for us as it was an easy walk to both the bus terminal and train station. During our stay we took the bus and train to many locations for day trips of touring.
We unwittingly happened to stay during the time of the Feast of St. Agatha, which made the streets all that more lively. There were processions, fireworks, church bells ringing and many activities that have taken place for hundreds of years. We enjoyed being a part of the crowd.
The Catana market is one of the best I've seen, full of all sorts of gastronomical delights and throngs of people.
Anna Laura was very gracious and helpful. She speaks very good English. Upon our arrival, she provided us with a map and pointed out some nice restaurants.
I highly recommend Anna Laura's apartment while visiting the Catania area of Sicilly.
