60-square meter NEW flat, on 6th floor (7 in total in the residence) 2 bedrooms + 1 living room + 1 fully equipped kitchen with microwave, oven, electrical burners + 1 bathroom with shower + 1 toilet + 2 balconies and 1 hallway for rent in Menton called Pearl of France. No direct neighbours in front or behind the building. Washing machine and clothes lines. Menton is 10 min away by train East of Monaco and equal distance West of Ventimiglia (Italy). Underground parking available at additional cost. Free parking in front of the residence. Linen available upon request. Car is not required to access the property. Flat is 10 min. walking distance from Menton train station and bus station and transport can be arranged for day 1 and last day with luggage. From Nice airport, you can walk to St Augustin train station and take the train for 40 min East to Menton or take the 110 bus from Nice airport to Menton (1.5 hour) and more expensive.

MENTON: the warmest and most Italianate French town (35 000 inhabitants), a couple of km of the border. An aristocratic tourism atmosphere remains from the turn of the century. Admire the architecture and the old town and walk along the sea front for miles. The pedestrian path goes all along Cap Martin and leads to Monaco. An easier access to Monaco Monte Carlo is by train (10 min. from Menton and run regularly). You can hike to some hilltop villages. The town glories in its climate and year-round lemon crops. It's ringed by protective mountains, so hardly a whisper of wind disturbs this suntrap of a city. Don't miss the walk to the peak of the old town, the Cocteau Museum and make sure you go across the border for the fun of it (no official document required).
