4. Beaches
Sintra's irregular coastline harbours many beautiful beaches. Some of these are very difficult to reach, due to the cliffs surrounding them, therefore still existing in a wild and pristine condition. Other beaches are well known for their great extensions of golden colored sand. Adraga's beach is one of the examples. Come and explore them all. They are: Magoito, Samarra, Aguda, Praia das Maçãs, Praia Grande, Praia Pequena, Taboeira, Grota, S. Julião, Adraga, Ursa and Aroeira.
5. Musical events: Estoril-Jazz Festival;Sintra's Music and Ballet Festival, (during July and August);Weekly concerts, played by national and international music groups in Sintra's Cultural Centre (Olga Cadaval).

6. Fitness
If you can’t live away from your daily fitness training you have 2 Holmes Place Health Clubs near Colares. The nearest club is in Quinta da Beloura, 20 minute drive from Casa de São Pedro.

6. Tennis
The nearest court is located in Praia das Maçâs (2 km). However if you wish to play tennis during your stay there are many Sport Centres and Tennis Clubs available. In May you can assist to the most famous Tournament in Portugal included in the ATP Tour – Estoril Open.
7. Surf & Windsurf
Some of the beaches in Sintra are well recognized by surfers, body boarders and wind surfers throughout the country. Yearly International contests and Championships take place in the beaches of Sintra (Praia Grande), Cascais (Guincho) and Ericeira (Ribeira D'Ilhas).
8. Horse riding
Many equestrian centres of the region organize horse riding tours, with the purpose of exploring the rural side of Sintra! Here are some of them: Equestrian Centre of Fontanelas, Janas Equestrian Centre 'Paddock', Equestrian Centre 'Quinta da Beloura', Penha Longa's Equestrian Centre.

9. Traditional restaurants
This region of Sintra is very rich in traditional restaurants. You'll have the chance to taste the region's typical food! Because of the proximity to the Ocean, restaurants offer the freshest and tastiest seafood you may find in all of Portugal. Ask us for the best ones!
10. Visiting Lisbon
The capital city, Lisbon, may be visited from Casa de São Pedro easily, without traffic and parking troubles, thanks to Sintra's train system that takes you directly to Lisbon Tow Center – Rossio.
Both train stations in Sintra, namely 'Sintra' are only 8 km away from Casa de São Pedro and are served by inexpensive parking.
Trains leave Sintra every 8 minutes and take 35 minutes to reach the centre of Lisbon, namely Rossio Square. In Rossio you are in the heart of Lisbon.
