La Jaspellerie is a traditional Lotois stone cottage which has been lovingly restored by its owners and is ideally configured for families. The cottage is close to the picturesque hamlet of Camy and has a heated pool with stunning views over-looking a tranquil valley. The property has an adjacent barn/garage and its own meadow, orchard and wood (4 acres in total). The spacious and comfortable main living-room connects to a breakfast balcony over-looking the valley as well as an evening sun terrace on the other side. The ground floor also includes the kitchen, two bedrooms (a double and a twin), a bathroom and laundry room. The upstairs includes a twin room with en suite shower as well as the 4 bed 'dormitory' with adjoining bathroom - perfect for kids. The house is equipped with satellite TV (English and French) as well as broadband. The heated 11 metre pool has an automatic safety cover and the garden includes a full size trampoline and swing chair as well as 2 barbeques

LaJaspellerie is ideally situated with easy access to the beautiful Dordogne valley (Sarlat, Domme, Roque Gageac) as well as spectacular Rocamadour. The hill-top town of Gourdon is circa 10km away and has all amenities. The surrounding countryside is rolling hills dotted with picturesque villages built in traditional stone. There are a large number of local restuarants ranging from Michelin rosetted (Chateau de la Treyne and Pont de l'Ouysee at Lacave) to rustic 'ferme auberges'. If you tire of the pool, the area is particularly well suited to families with a host of attractions for children from the amazing Gouffre de Padirac with its underground river, to the Quercyland water-park at Souillac or canoeing on the Dordogne, horse-riding or cycling on the dedicated track from Souillac to Sarlat. The Dordogne area is well appointed for tourists with an eclectic range of attractions for the whole family (a detailed list of recommendations is provided in LaJaspellerie).

Additional information about rental rates

  • We will require a non-refundable deposit of 30% of the first week's rental on booking. The remaining full rental must be paid a minimum of 8 weeks prior to the rental commencing.

    A provisional booking can be made by email or by phone and will be valid for 7 days while waiting for receipt of the 30% deposit (non refundable).

    In addition, a refundable security deposit of £250 will be charged, but will be returned within 4 weeks of the end of the rental period provided that there are no breakages or excess cleaning charges.

Very rarely do you arrive at a holiday home and find that the pictures accurately reflects the reality. Not so with La Jaspellerie, it really was as lovely as the images. We had such a relaxing week. The weather was great, the surrounding country side and villages and towns were just enough for what we wanted.
The children loved watching the cows come past every morning and afternoon, and we wandered around the country lanes in the sun. The pool was great and we spent most days (and some evenings) enjoying it.
The rooms were comfortable and it felt like we were visiting someones home, with the books and games for the children.
We had a brilliant holiday and look forward to coming again,

Lovely family holiday

We stayed here for 2 weeks in August 2009. Family of 4 with 2 kids 6 and 8 and another friend joined us with his 2 children of 6 and 7. Lots of room for the children to run around and hunt for lizards and a fantastic swimming pool which made it difficult to leave the property to go and explore the area. The immediate area is very pretty and there are lots of lovely walks. The town of Gourdon is - we thought - quite under-rated as behind the busy main road there is a very pretty town and it is very friendly. Being peak season alot of the busy tourist areas are well worth avoiding - We went canoeing on the Dordogne which was great fun. It was so hot we spent alot of time visiting Grottos! The best by far was the Grottes de Cougnac. Smaller than the others on the big tourist routes - La Cave, Domme, Padirac etc but the guides are excellent and the caves are beautiful with incredible paintings. - Enjoy your holiday - We did!

Absolutely lovely - tastefully furnished, very comfortable, wonderful pool that everyone enjoyed. Glorious countryside for cycling and fantastic canoeing close by. A great family holiday with lots of little extras. Highly recommend.
