This property has a sense of calm about it as it nestles in a rural residential area just above Calheta. The property has wonderful views of the country side and the sea from all the windows and is just off the road on a private lane. There are interesting walks of beauty starting from your front door and as you pass by the neighbours you will get a feeling of well being as they offer their hands of friendship to you.

Calheta is fast becoming the most popular town on the South coast. It has the most interesting marina which is full of privately owned boats and yachts. Many of these offer trips out for dolphin and whale spotting, trips to the Desertas Islands, deep sea fishing and lots more. Along the side of the marina are may snack bars and restaurants where the atmosphere is electric and you mingle with the locals and tourists alike. In the evenings even live entertainment can be enjoyed. Just five minutes walk away is a protected golden sandy beach which runs very gradually into the warm blue waters of the Atlantic Ocean and ideal place for young children to dig on the beach and paddle or swim in the water. Many locals swim from one part of the beach to the other for fitness as well as enjoyment. There is a large well stocked supermarket which serves all the needs of the self catering client and a bank with instant access machines.
