La Herradura holiday house

Guests are asked not to smoke inside the house. 20 metres from the house is a large communal pool and toddler pool set on a grassed terrace with stunning views to the sea and village. There are also are two Paddle Tennis courts and showers. The large bay of La Herradura provides all kinds of water sports and is just a 3 minute drive from the property. Unspoilt beaches usually with a beach bar are within a few kilometres. The Marina is just a 10 minute drive as also is the town and beach at Almuñecar. Golf courses are a 30 minute drive at Salobreña, and Velez Malaga. The Sierra Nevada is a 90 minute drive and the ski season runs from December to April and caters for all abilities.

There are a range of activities nearby, scuba diving (several schools in the village and the nearby marina), windsurfing, sailing, walking in the National Park, horse riding, hang gliding, fishing, and climbing. There are numerous art galleries locally as well as Flamenco dancing and nightclubs. Malaga Airport is approximately 1 hr's drive. A car is essential for this type of holiday. The spectacular Alhambra Palace, Granada, is an hours drive away and takes you through the beautiful Alpujarras mountains. The caves at Nerja are approximately 20 mins. drive, or visit one of the many pretty whitewashed mountain villages. La Herradura has an abundance of excellent restaurants and authentic Spanish tapas bars as well as a daily market selling local produce, banks, and all general stores.
