Paphos area information

Paphos is one of the most popular holiday resorts in Cyprus and many visitors return every year. This old town is steeped with history and is home to many well preserved archaeological sites including some beautiful mosaics located near to the old castle and harbour. For families Paphos is a great choice, you can reach many of the attractions on foot or using local buses and along the tourist harbour front you are spoilt for restaurants, boat trips and shops to browse. The Old town of Paphos know as Kato Paphos is full of small windy streets and a lovely daily covered craft market which is nice to browse around. There are some wonderful cafes located at the top of the hill from which to enjoy wonderful views. For things to see and do you are spoilt and some ideas which we enjoued include the Byzantium Museum, the Paphos water park, day time and sunset cruise boat trips, the Aquarium, the Jeep safari, snorkeling at the beach, wine tasting and a Greek night at a traditional tavern

Coral Bay area information

If you want to get away to try another beach from Paphos the famous sandy beaches at Coral Bay are just a 15 minute drive or bus trip from central Paphos. Coral Bay offers visitors an alternative blue flag family friendly beach and holiday resort atmosphere and a good selection of shops and restaurants with everything from Italian, Chinese, Cypriot and Indian cuisine. The beach offers a good choice of water sports, boat trips and diving Several of the larger hotels in Coral Bay have very good health spas.

Family activities in the local area

Activities for families include, Water Parks Aquarium, Blue Flag safe beach at Coral Bay, bird and reptile park, donkey sanctuary, ten pin bowling, diving, water sports, boat trips, snorkeling trips, jeep safaris, Children’s and Adults go carting tracks with tunnels, mountain biking, horse riding.

If you are looking for more relaxing places to visit there are a good choice of excellent private health Spas close to the apartment the best of which are The Spa at the boutique Thalassa hotel in Coral Bay, The Spa at the Elysium Hotel in Paphos, The Retreat Spa at Aphrodites Hills, if you are celebrating a special occasion or just need some pampering these are all highly recommended.

Golf in the Paphos Area

For the Golf Enthusiast - There are two excellent Golf courses within half an hour, the most famous of which is Aphrodites Hills a five star Gold resort which hosts many Golf tournaments supported by celebrities. Next to Aphrodites Hills is Secret Valley Golf Course. Both are open to the public.

Walking and Climbing in the Akamas Peninsular

The Akamas Peninsular is a preserved area of natural beauty and habitat which is protected for the enjoyment of walkers and climbers. If you are a keen walker, climber or mountain biker you can enjoy guided tours and hire mountain bikes to venture into the Troodos mountain area.
