  • Prices are weekly and include all facilities at the apartment and at Capistrano Playa, weekly linen change and welcome food pack. The price also includes a CARBON OFFSET for you flight. If you'd like to visit for a night, a long weekend or even the winter this can be arranged. The apartment is your home for the time you are in it. Whenever possible arrival and departure times will be fitted in with your flight schedule.If you would like someone to show you round the apartment we can arrange that. If there is a special occasion let us know if you would like anything special for your arrival. A chilled bottle of Cava...chocolates...flowers. The apartment is strictly NON-SMOKING inside and out on the terraces.
  • Booking. A 25% deposit [non-returnable] to secure the apartment for your holiday. Balance 4 weeks before. Cancellation. Less than 4 weeks prior to arrival 50% refunded. If we re-let the apartment you'll get all your money back aside from the deposit.

    There has been an extensive programme of structural works to the foundations at Capistrano Playa due for completion June 2009 so just to be aware even though the apartment is totally unaffected the surrounding areas in the development look a little untidy with some paths closed around the lake and signs of building work. Rental prices for 2009 reflect this and as this is the first year the apartment is let there is flexibility on availability and price.
  • The environment. Obviously having an apartment in Spain and travelling to it is not good for the environment. Having said that we've done what we could to try to at least make a little less of an impact. The renovations were carried out by local craftsmen so supporting the local economy. We've built and furnished to a high spec so things will last longer and not need replacing. We've kept to natural materials on the whole. Granite. Stone. Stainless steel. All the wood is from sustainably managed sources. The appliances are A rated. We supply environmentally friendly cleaning products for use in the apartment. All the linen is 100% natural and the towels organic. We've not installed air con. The windows are double glazed to help in the winter and we've insulated in the walls and bath. Included in the price is a CARBON OFFSET for your flight.

Weather: A lot of people consider the Costa Del Sol to have the best climate in mainland europe. Averaging over 320 days of sunshine a year. Not over hot in summer [when other parts of the med exceed 38oC]. And warmer sunnier and drier in winter [when most of wurope is below freezing the warmest place is likely to be the Costa Del Sol. Jan temps mid 60'S]. Nerja however has an even better climate than the rest of the coast. It has its own microclimate as a result of the sheltered bay and the mountains directly behind. El Capistrano Playa itself is very sheltered. There is nealry always a cooling breeze in the summer months and the lower terraces at the apartment is lovely and sheltered for sunbathing even in January. There is a local saying that well describes the climate, 'the sun spends the winter in Nerja and the breeze spends the summer'.
