Sel d’Ailleurs is a guesthouse retreat secreted away amongst two hectares of ancient olive groves at the foot of the Atlas Mountains, just one hour from Marrakech Offering four exquisite bedrooms constructed in the form of cottages, with pisé walls and rustic wooden doors and windows, the bedrooms are hidden between the olive trees, and connected to the pool and public lounge and dining area via pathways that wind between the flower beds. Inside, the rooms are spacious, with queen size beds, sitting area, and separate toilet, sink and shower rooms. This is a place to laze by the pool beneath the snow-capped Atlas, dine beneath the stars and to drink in the beauty of a truly idyllic natural haven of peace and tranquility. The room rate is for half board, so includes bed, breakfast and delicious three-course dinner. To get here, we can organise a taxi direct from the airport or your accommodation in Marrakech. Sel d'Ailleurs is located 59km from Marrakech on the route to Taroudant, 9km south of the market town of Asni, close to the picturesque village of Ouirgane. To get here: You can either hire a car or take a taxi from Marrakech. We can organise the taxi for you, either direct from the Airport or from your accommodation in Marrakech. In the local area are several hiking opportunities, salt mines, also horse riding, and the Ouirgane reservoir. Local markets are held in Ouirgane on Thursdays, and in Asni on Saturdays. The village of Tin Mal with its historic mosque is 40km away and is one of only two mosques in Morocco that are open to non-Muslims.
