Lovely quiet holiday apartment on edge of spectacular Coolmain beach, located between bustling Kinsale and beautiful West Cork. Ideal base for people wishing to tour Cork and Kerry.15 mins from Kinsale, known for its restaurants, pubs, shops, galleries and historic buildings. 25 mins from musical town of Clonakilty. Nearest village and supermarket two miles. Attached to an old school house, it has own entrance and parking. The open-plan kitchen/sitting-room has french doors opening onto own private garden & patio area.The living area has a spiral staircase leading to a gallery double bedroom. There is also a twin bunk-room off the sitting room.Ideal for a couple, but sleeps four. In walking distance of award-winning restaurant Casino House and well-known pub/restaurant the Pink Elephant. Bass & flounder fishing, bird-watching, riding, wind and kite-surfing, kayaking, surfing, walking. tennis and golf for all levels. A nature lover's paradise.

Coolmain Beach is within walking distance or a short drive to many other pleasant beaches and secluded coves. The village of Kilbrittain has pubs with pool/darts/Sky TV etc, as well as a shop, bakery and tennis court. Ballinspittle (of moving statue fame) is 3 miles away, with a pub, a supermarket and café. The surfing beach at Garretstown also has a pitch & putt course and tennis court. Coolmain is also 15 minutes from the deep-sea angling village of Courtmacsherry, 25 minutes from the lively musical town of Clonakilty, and its spa facilities at Inchydoney Hotel. Golf can be played at numerous courses in the area.

There are direct flights to Cork airport from the U.K and Europe with Ryanair and Aerlingus, and Ferries from Swansea to Cork, Fishguard to Cork, and Roscoff to Cork. Why not fly or take a ferry to Dublin,hire a car drive down the coast taking in the scenery (4-5 hrs) or take the new motorway 3 hours. Our house is a 19Th century chapel and schoolhouse set on the edge of the beach, the apartment is up a drive , with parking for one car and has its own secluded patio area and access to a private large garden.

Other Activities: Kite surfing ,kayaking,bird watching, gathering cockles & mussels, wild flower spotting
